Mamava’s free app helps breastfeeding parents find lactation places—including Mamava pods—to pump or nurse on the go.

Mamava is part of the Ava Pods family—creating spaces for work, wellness, and lactation. Mamava is the inventor of the lactation pod and the leading expert in lactation space design. Our mission is to create a healthier society through infrastructure and support for breastfeeding with our lactation pods, free lactation space locator app, and an engaged digital community. Mamava lactation pods are designed to be a private oasis for breastfeeding parents and a simple lactation space solution for facilities. Mamava pods are designed, engineered, and assembled at Mamava Manufacturing in Springfield Vermont. We also provide resources to help employers and organizations understand workplace lactation laws and the kind of support breastfeeding parents need at work and out in the world.

Mamava is expanding our mission. 💙

If you know us as the pod that gave you a private place to pump or nurse on the go, don’t worry—we’re still here.

Mamava is now the dedicated lactation line within Ava Pods. That means the pods, the app, and our commitment to supporting breastfeeding and pumping parents aren’t going anywhere. We’re simply growing our vision.

Over the years, we’ve learned that people need private space for all kinds of important moments—not just lactation. Ava Pods expands that work to include spaces for focused work, telehealth, wellness, and more.

But it all comes back to the same belief that started Mamava: The right space changes what’s possible. Thank you for helping us get here. We’re excited for what’s next.

If you know it's Workplace Lactation Week, you might be a lactivist. 🎉

But even if you didn't know about this national celebration, you might be a lactivist if you:

✅ Believe that breastfeeding parents need private lactation spaces to pump at work.

✅ Know that breastfeeding employees have a legal right to workplace lactation accommodations and break time to pump.

✅ Encourage folks to talk about breastfeeding at work. Because the more we normalize talking about breastfeeding, the more we help normalize it.

Wanna become a lactivist? Use our step-by-step guide to spearhead a movement at your workplace to level up lactation accommodations.

Not every breastfeeding parent fits the same mold, so lactation spaces shouldn't either.
Our XL lactation pod is designed for every body—with wheelchair-accessible features, ADA-compatible design, and extra room to accommodate mobility devices, caregivers, children, and pumping equipment.

When organizations invest in truly inclusive lactation spaces, they're sending a clear message: every parent deserves support, privacy, and dignity.

It's National Breastfeeding Month and breastfeeding parents are doing...a lot. ❤️

According to the 2026 State of Breastfeeding Survey we conducted with Medela:

🤱 More than 70% of breastfeeding parents pump
🚗 77% have pumped or nursed in their car
🚽 36% have pumped or nursed in a bathroom
🏢 Nearly 1 in 3 lack reliable access to a workplace lactation space

The good news? Parents are incredibly committed to giving their babies breast milk. So the challenge isn't motivation—it's navigating a world that still doesn't consistently support breastfeeding families.

That's why dedicated lactation spaces matter. They make it easier for parents to meet their feeding goals at work, on the go, and everywhere in between.

⚽ As the FIFA World Cup puts stadiums in the spotlight, we're thinking about a bigger question: Where are breastfeeding and pumping parents expected to go?

We've seen incredible lactation spaces. We've also seen parents directed to bathrooms, First Aid rooms, closets, and other less-than-ideal accommodations.

If you encounter a lactation space that deserves recognition—or one that needs improvement—tag and share a photo.

Whether it's a stadium, workplace, airport, museum, park, or concert venue, your stories help shine a light on what parents actually experience.

It’s 2026. Parents deserve better than bathrooms.

📸 Tag us and help advocate for better lactation accommodations wherever people work, travel, and gather.

Happy In[ter]dependence Day. ❤️🤍💙

As America turns 250, we're celebrating progress—and looking ahead. More parents have the protections and support they deserve than ever before. But finding a private, clean place to pump or nurse shouldn't still be a challenge.

We're building a world where every breastfeeding parent has the freedom to feed their baby however they choose and wherever life takes them.

Here's to the next 250 years of making space for every family. 🇺🇸💧

NBD. One reporter highlights a problem. Two founders decide to solve it.

Loved hearing Jodi Kantor reflect on the workplace challenges breastfeeding moms face—and the reporting that helped inspire Mamava's founding.

Major props to Sascha Mayer and Christine Dodson for seeing a gap, designing a solution, and building a company around it.

Making space for love. Making space for families. Making space for everyone. 🌈

At Mamava, we believe everyone deserves to feel welcome, supported, and seen.

This Pride Month, we're celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and the many ways people create, care for, and love their families.

Happy Pride Month. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

⚽ Going to a FIFA World Cup match with a baby—or a pump bag—in tow?
Before you head to the stadium, download the Mamava app to find lactation spaces along the way.

We're also celebrating the World Cup host venues that have already invested in better accommodations for breastfeeding and pumping parents, including:

🏟️ Mercedes-Benz Stadium
🏟️ NRG Stadium
🏟️ SoFi Stadium
🏟️ MetLife Stadium
🏟️ Levi's Stadium
🏟️ Lumen Field
🏟️ BC Place

Because finding a clean, private place to feed or pump shouldn't require a scavenger hunt on game day.
