If you've ever tried to purchase tickets to a VSO show, or to a concert by one of our local arts partners, there's a chance you might've come across a third-party seller. These organizations sell overpriced and oftentimes fake tickets to concerts in Vermont, leaving audience members without a ticket to a sold-out show, or else over-budget on something that should have been affordable.

Currently, act H.512 just passed in the Vermont House and Senate, and its next stop is on Governor Phil Scott's desk. We're asking you to please contact Governor Scott and urge him to sign this important bill aimed at regulating the event ticket market. For more information, you can read up on it at the Vermont The Vermont Arts Council's blog below. We hope you'll join us in voicing our support for these important protections for arts organizations and lovers of the arts alike!

May 9’s season finale features Kauyumari, a piece by acclaimed composer Gabriela Ortiz. Described as “one of the most talented composers in the world,” by Gustavo Dudamel, Ortiz is a multiple GRAMMY award winner whose work has been performed by prestigious orchestras worldwide.

Kauyumari, inspired by the spiritual world of the Huichol people of western Mexico, alternates between moments of intensity and introspection, with driving rhythms and shifting textures that create an immersive musical experience.
