The University Players UVM's student-run theatre club, from writing and directing to tech and acting, we do it all!

As the student-run theatre club at the University of Vermont, The University Players acts as an outlet for creative and passionate theatre artists. We offer the opportunity to engage in two MainStage productions each year, as well as auxiliary opportunities such as Red-Eye Festivals, collections of One Act Plays, and staged readings. Furthermore, we host some of the best improvisers at the University of Vermont, with our troupe Name Pending having been recognized at the Vermont Comedy Club. We operate on the philosophy of engaging and inclusive theatre; the power of community in the performative arts is both vitally important and inspiring. Members are encouraged to write their own works and to richly engage with previously published works.
