I’ve been using this little paint color trick for years, and it makes picking out a color SO much easier!
Picking out paint colors can be crazy overwhelming. You go in looking for a white and suddenly you’re staring at 100 whites that all look basically the same 😂🙃!!!
So instead of starting with the whole wall of colors, I always go to the display with the larger 8x8 swatches. The colors they keep there are already some of their best-selling and award-winning colors, so it really helps narrow things down.
You can actually order an 8x8 swatch of any Sherwin-Williams color, but I love starting here because these are already really great, popular colors.
And even if you take one home and realize it’s not quite right, it gives you a starting point! Maybe you love it but need something a little warmer, lighter, darker, etc. It’s so much easier to find the right color when you have something to compare it to.
