These words, shared by participants during our recent residency at the San Mateo County Youth Services Center, remind us of the power of music to inspire connection and possibility.
Last week, Music at Kohl Mansion partnered with Sound Impact, Dragonfly Community Arts, and the San Mateo County Probation Department to bring a three-day Use Your Voice music residency to young people in detention. Through music, poetry, and creative collaboration, participants explored self-expression, built confidence, and discovered the power of their own voices.
We believe music is more than an art form—it's a pathway to well-being, belonging, and hope. We're grateful to our partners for helping make these meaningful experiences possible.

Celebrating a remarkable milestone at Music at Kohl Mansion—20 years of dedicated service by Patricia Kristof Moy. Her vision, leadership, and commitment have helped shape our community and bring extraordinary music and education experiences to life.

To honor this special occasion, we are also deeply grateful to artist Ellen Brook for contributing a stunning custom artwork created especially for this celebration. Her work beautifully reflects the spirit of music, collaboration, and legacy that Patricia has cultivated over two decades.
