🐝 It's National Pollinator Week! 🦋
Without pollinators like bats, bees, butterflies, moths, and hummingbirds, many of our favorite fruits, veggies, nuts, and flowers just wouldn't exist! These animals spread the pollen between plants that produce seeds and fruit. Part of our commitment to environmental sustainability is the protection of our pollinators and their habitats to support the diversity of natural life in our community. Visit one of Burleson's No Mow areas or pollinator gardens to see pollinators in action!
Here are a few easy ways to help pollinators:
🌻 Plant a variety of native flowers and plants
🌱 Let part of your yard "go wild"
🌼 Protect native milkweed plants, which are host plants for the monarch butterfly
Even a single pot of flowers on a balcony can make a difference. What are you doing to help the pollinators this week? Share below! 👇
