Burkittsville Ruritan Club Fishing derby is this Saturday! Bring the kids out!

The Burkittsville Ruritan Club and Town of Burkittsville will sponsor a Catfish Fishing Derby this Saturday, June 20, 2026 at the Town Pond, located at the corner of South Potomac Street (Route 17) and Lake Side Drive in Burkittsville. Registration will begin at 9:00 am for children up to 15 years of age. All participants must bring their own bait and tackle and be accompanied by an adult. Prizes will be awarded in three age groups and there will be free refreshments for everyone to enjoy. The derby will run from 10:00am until noon.

IMPORTANT T-SHIRT INFO! We will be applying these 2 transfer designs onto garments at Cannon Fire 26. The Ladies Night at Cannon Fire 26 design really only looks good on black. We will have just a few of each size in a ladies v-neck and a standard men's tee. (Both in black) There's a very limited number of transfers available. You're welcome to wait and purchase at the festival. But, if you want to guarantee getting your size we encourage you to pre- purchase this week. You can order the design on the front or the back.$25. We also have some small versions suitable for front chest pocket area or top center on rear of collar. (add $5)
The Cannon Fire Music Festival design actually looks good on most pastel colors, so you can pre order anything you want.
We will have off white ladies v-neck & men's tees in most sizes. $25. We will also have a few white long sleeve tees in each size. $30. We will have toddler sized transfers available as well, and just a very few little garments. We highly encourage you to pre- purchase what you want to ensure you don't miss out.
Especially if you want any color other than the whites.
