From Worlds Imagined to Worlds Seen
The Landscapes of David Block

For a lifetime, David Block has created worlds through animation and storytelling. Now, he invites us to see the world through a different lens—through oil, light, color, and the quiet poetry of the landscape.
From Worlds Imagined to Worlds Seen features more than 30 original oil paintings, revealing David’s transition from creating imagined worlds to capturing the beauty of the world before him.

Join us at the CTN Studio Gallery for a special opening Sunday Brunch-style gathering on October 25, from 11 AM–3 PM, celebrating David’s new body of work. David will be in attendance.

The paintings on display will be available for purchase throughout the exhibition.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the CTN Foundation in support of its mission, “No Artist Left Behind,” helping create opportunities for artists at every stage of their creative journey.
Come see where an animator’s eye meets the landscape—and where a lifetime of storytelling finds a new canvas.

✨ 16 YEARS. ONE HOME. A WORLD OF ARTISTS. ✨
We’re proud to celebrate 16 years of partnership with Visit Burbank and their continued support of the CTN Foundation and CTNX26!

For 16 years, Visit Burbank has helped us welcome artists, storytellers, students, educators, and creative minds from around the world to Burbank—the heart of the animation community.
Their support has helped create more than an event. It has helped create a home where artists can come together, share their work, meet their heroes, find their people, and be celebrated for what they bring to the creative world.

Every November, artists travel from near and far to experience CTN—and to experience the city that has been home to so much of the animation history we love.
More than a partnership, this is a family of shared beliefs in artists, community, creativity, and the importance of helping CTN keep our promise of 'No Artist Left Behind'.
Thank you, Visit Burbank, for 16 years of celebrating artists from around the world—and for helping make Burbank a home where creative dreams can gather, connect, and come alive. ❤️

✨ 18 YEARS. ONE CREATIVE COMMUNITY. ONE EXTRAORDINARY PARTNERSHIP. ✨
We’re proud to announce that Animation Magazine is partnering once again with the CTN Foundation for CTNX26 — our 18th year together!

For nearly two decades, Animation Magazine has been there with us—celebrating the artists, sharing the stories, documenting the creative journey, and helping connect our global industry across generations.

Their continued partnership with the CTN Foundation helps us keep building a place where No Artist is Left Behind and can be seen, supported, inspired, and given opportunities to grow.
From emerging artists taking their first steps to the legends whose work shaped the art form we love, CTN is about the entire creative continuum—yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
This is more than a partnership. It’s a shared belief in the power of artists, imagination, community, and the future of visual storytelling.

Thank you, Animation Magazine, for 18 years of believing in CTN and the artists who make this community extraordinary and with a future still waiting to be imagined.

UNLOCKING WHAT’S NEXT FOR ARTISTS with HUION ✨

We’re so excited to welcome Huion as the Official Tablet & Pen Display Partner of CTNX2026!

At CTN, we believe artists grow when we share what we know, open doors for one another, and put the right tools and opportunities into the hands of the next generation.
Through this official partnership, Huion is providing seven creative devices to exclusively support CTN Foundation scholarship recipients—helping artists explore, experiment, develop their craft, and take their next steps.

We’re especially excited to put some of Huion’s newest tools into the hands of these amazing artists and see where their creativity takes them.

This is the CTN Creative Culture: artists supporting artists, sharing opportunities, and helping make sure No Artist Is Left Behind.

Welcome, Huion. We’re excited to create what’s next together. ❤️

Creative Perspective for Animation with Director, Brian Mainolfi
Saturday September 19th 2pm

While animation can adhere to the rules of linear perspective, it doesn't need to. Animation can do anything. Sometimes, bending the rules can make scenes easier, stronger, and much more fun. From orthographic perspective to multiple horizon lines to banana pans, discover the perspective cheat codes that animators use to bend the rules and create your own world – reality be damned!

No pressure. No test. Just a creative sandbox where curiosity, crazy ideas, and a little breathing room to learn are always welcome.
