To our community of collegues and friends,

The time is NOW to support the passage of a post-production tax incentive bill (AB-2319) through the California Legislature.
We are proud to be working alongside Assemblyman Nick Schultz, who has been championing this bill with his team for our post production community. We have successfully passed two committee hurdles, but our biggest challenges still lie ahead.

With the support of a dedicated lobbyist, economist and PR firm we are building a strong case, but we cannot do this without you.

We thank our friends at the AFM Local 47, IASTE Local 700, and SAG for recognizing the important of this bill, and their support in getting this bill passed.

We ask you to stand with the California Post Alliance (CAPA) and help bring scoring, mixing, and the many vital post-production art forms back to our great state of California. This bill seeks to allocate $100 million yearly to incentivize and revitalize our struggling industry.

Your membership will play a vital role in supporting these efforts. It will benefit not only you, but the entire creative community we all call home.

From the creators of Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY and NieR:Orchestra Concert, The Music of SQUARE ENIX - Magic, Memories, and Melodies celebrates the unforgettable worlds and iconic soundtracks that have defined generations of video game storytelling and adventure.

The Hollywood Cinematic Orchestra and a chorus will perform under the direction of renowned conductor Arnie Roth. This all-new symphonic concert production celebrates the music of CHRONO TRIGGER, FINAL FANTASY, KINGDOM HEARTS, Legend of Mana, NieR, Octopath Traveler, and more in a spectacular multimedia experience.

Through sweeping symphonic arrangements and stunning high-definition game visuals from SQUARE ENIX projected above the stage, this concert invites audiences to relive the stories, emotions, and adventures that continue to inspire players around the world.

Composer Keiichi Okabe will attend this performance. Okabe served as the lead composer for the NieR series and composed the background music in NieR:Gestalt/Replicant (2010), Drakengard 3 (2013) and NieR:Automata (2017). His main works include the NieR series, “Sino Alice,” and the animated TV series “Yuna Yuuki.”

Encompass Music Partners has another on-camera opportunity for the series Snowfall. We are currently seeking an experienced pianist for a hand and body double role in a TV production and wanted to reach out to see if you are available and interested.

Please note that this is an availability check only; final confirmation is subject to the production team’s discretion.

The Role:
The selected musician will be responsible for learning and memorizing an original song and performing it on set. The performance will involve miming to a pre-recorded track, with the possibility of also playing live. A key part of the role is matching the look and movement of the actor's hands on camera.

Please Note:
Wardrobe may require the installation of nail extensions as well as fitting you in a wig for this role. You would be expected to perform the piece wearing both, so comfort playing in long nails and with these elements is something to keep in mind.

Video Audition (2 clips):
A performance sample matching the piano in the reference video (we will send to you once you've reached out to us as it's confidential)

A second video demonstrating your ability to elaborate and improvise on the piano reference style, incorporating a soulful 1970's style.

Your SAG Status: (SAG Member, OK-30, Must-Join, or Taft Hartley) If you are a non-member — without mentioning the project or our company, please call SAG's membership dept. at (323) 549-6778 and ask them, "What would my SAG status when I work on my next SAG job?" They should tell you if you are a No Record/Taft-Hartley, OK 30 or Must Pay. Please let us know your status after you call.
