SCREENING AND Q&A!⁣⁣
Oblivion Screening + Q&A with Director Sam Irvin⁣
Friday, October 9th • 7:00pm – 9:00pm in the Son of Monsterpalooza Theatre!⁣⁣
⁣
In-person, director Sam Irvin (ELVIRA'S HAUNTED HILLS) proudly presents one of his most beloved cult classics: OBLIVION (1994), an award-winning, futuristic cowboys-and-aliens sci-fi western with tongue-in-cheek humor, starring George Takei (Sulu in STAR TREK), Julie Newmar (Catwoman in BATMAN), Carel Struycken (Lurch in THE ADDAMS FAMILY), Isaac Hayes (Oscar winner for SHAFT), Meg Foster (Evil-Lyn in MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE), Andrew Divoff (The Djinn in WISHMASTER), Richard Joseph Paul (Van Helsing in VAMPIRELLA), and Musetta Vander (Munitia in WILD WILD WEST). Written by Peter David (BABYLON 5) and directed by Sam Irvin.⁣
⁣
Join Sam Irvin as he introduces the film and conducts a Q&A! OBLIVION is a lavish production from Charles Band's Full Moon Studios, with glorious old-school stop-motion giant scorpions, practical creature effects, and a full orchestral music score by the magnificent Pino Donaggio (CARRIE). The Hollywood Reporter raved that the movie has "a sassy attitude reminiscent of ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW." Gold Award Winner: Best Fantasy / Horror Film, Houston International Film Festival. Fun for the whole family! Rated PG!⁣
