Last year I made this little guy out of clay and fabric. I had a blast sewing his little clothes and making the bat balloon out of mylar. Projects like these are such a stress reliever. It was supposed to be something else at first, but then it turned into this. I give you, Dobby at the Halloween Carnival. 153 days till Halloween!!! 🎃 👻 🦴 🦇 ☠️ 🧙‍♀️🧛‍♂️

Alice in Wonderland has always been one of my favorite stories. I remember vivid dreams of being stuck in a wonderland when I was a child. I often wondered why Alice ever wanted to go back home? As an adult, I still find myself drifting off into that wonderland where things get “curiouser and curiouser!”

One of my favorite things is to go hunting for magical objects. I often wonder if I find them or if they find me? It’s amazing that they all go together like a perfect family. If you’re open to magic, it is EVERYWHERE!

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever made? I’ll go first....

For Halloween one year, I wanted to be a voodoo prince. At the time I didn’t have a lot of scratch to spend on a fancy costume for my work party. So I did what any creative would do. CREATE! One day we were having jerk chicken for lunch. I told all of my coworkers to leave their chicken bones on my desk. At the end of the day, my desk looked like the elephant graveyard from the Lion King. From there I proceeded to wash, clean, bleach and bake the bones. After that I fastened them into a crown. Zero money spent! It was the talk of the town! Soon after, I got strep throat. After all that vigorous bone cleaning, I still got sick. I totally think this crown was cursed. 😂 Bottom line is, I bled for my art!!! It was totally worth it. Good times....

Lavender palmistry cookies! I think the whole idea of palmistry is fascinating. Though I don’t practice it, I see a lot of good coming up ahead. Crispy fingers have never tasted so sweet.

These cookies have received a lot of love the past few days. I have gotten loads of questions. One common one was “can I make these to fall in love with myself?” The answer is YES!!! You should always love yourself! Do whatever you can to make you happy and fulfilled. Attached is the recipe. One thing to remember is to be mindful of the roses you use. Most roses from the grocery store or a florist have insecticides. If you are unsure of the kind of roses to use, you can order them already dried and ready to eat from Amazon. I’m here to answer any questions. This is definitely an advanced recipe, so it may take a few tries to get it just right. I believe with a bit of patience and quality ingredients, anything is possible. 🖤 Happy Baking!
