Actress Adrianne Zucker Alleges She Was Pushed Out At 'Days Of Our Lives'
July 26, 2024 | 2:17pm ET
Former 'Days of Our Lives' actress Adrianne Zucker has alleged that she was pushed out of the show. Zucker alleges that after she made allegations of sexual harassment, she began to get targeted. She alleges that her pay was cut, followed by her character Nicole Walker being written out of the show. Zucker had portrayed Nicole Walker since 1998.
The allegations that Zucker made in February, against former executive producer and former director of 'Days of Our Lives' Albert Alarr was in the form of a lawsuit. She alleged that there was rampant inappropriate suggestive comments, which created a very toxic work atmosphere. Alarr is no longer with the show and neither is Zucker. Therein lies the problem that plagues Zucker.
Adrianne Zucker feels that she was punished for being forthcoming about the sexual harassment and toxic work environment on the canvas. It must also be noted, that Zucker filed the sexual harassment lawsuit against Corday Productions, which was created in 1965 by Ted and Betty Corday, which produces 'Days of Our Lives.' Their son Ken Corday is now at the helm.
After making the allegations that women on the set were being groped and kissed without their consent, Zucker was sent a message by her agent that there would be a reduction in her pay. Then a notice that her character would be written out of the show, soon followed, per Adrianne Zucker. She has made a few statements regarding the allegations that she has made.
โFor quite some time Iโve seen my female coworkers sexually harassed, violated and degraded as women by Albert,โ she said, per the outlet. โI myself have also been degraded, violated, and degraded. In March of 2023, several female employees were fired. There was complete dissolution of the all-female PR department. Female contracts were not renewed, or they were not returning because of the way they were being treated on the show."
Adrianne Zucker made the aforementioned statement with Deadline. We wish her all the best and continued success wherever she may find it. No matter who you are, no one deserves to be targeted in anyway and then silenced by the threat of losing employment. It takes a lot to speak out against toxicity within the workplace. It often leads to harassment and loss of one's job and peace of mind.
