Fall is one of my fav times of year — especially because of the Reflections!

this year was very special as i was able to capture one of my fav recording artists for the second time 🤍🥹🫶🏽✨ AND i got to meet her (&bebe 🥹🫶🏽🩵) in person on my birthday watching another fav recording artist perform. the Universe is so fab 💐🌞✨

so many of her lyrics truly hit home for me — and she truly gives me the inspiration i need to be able to express myself the way I’d like to. the spiritual, experiential, existential.. political… all of the beautiful facets of her artistry i truly am inspired to embody and cherish in this season.

Nature is our Teacher.

there was so much value in this experience i shared with my cousin . it was a day focused on navigating some pretty heavy stuff. Life lately, has really been lifin’ — in like that really worldly “everything is in shambles” tip. I’m never one to stay down for long.. or just let my emotions get the best of me, but I’ve been down bad for a while. I’m so thankful for the reminders that I’m never alone.. and though we may have to face challenging seasons, I’m never reaaaally truly by myself in the process, I Give Thanks. reminders that, the wait is ALWAYS worth it. ESPECIALLY when you’re following your gut. It’s almost always exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we have asked for. and finally, one of the most important reminders that, things don’t happen to us they happen for us. a small perspective change can make a world of a difference. in the midst of adversity, storms and adverse weather plans, we may not understand or know why things are happening the way they are at the time that they are. once the storm clears.. once we wait around a little while, even when things don’t look at allll like they’re going “according to plan” there’s always GOOD reasons why things are happening the way they are, & there’s always a greater purpose under the surface.

i challenge us to trust in that & allow it to lead us this week. where would we be & what would we do if we trusted that the Universe was on our side? would we stop being afraid & stop playing small.. & just show up as the version we desire the most to be. allow it & let it be. just flow freely. be at ease. be at peace 🩵

These mantras were downloaded to me; a couple are from YEARS ago, that I happened to hold on to and keep track of.

a lot of the time, Affirmations come downloaded to me through a meditation or even while I’m in the shower or cooking. I’ll also get inspiration from other creatives — but I always make sure to change the affirmation in ways that will help out my psyche the most!

There are a few Affirmations you can choose from, as well as the specific background image for your poster.

Hurricane in Southern California?! howsway?

I’m sure the news reports have shocked most of us; especially those living in Southern CA. California’s last tropical storm was in 1939, almost 85 years ago, and it capsized boats, cut power service and killed almost 100 people 😳😳

Now this post is nowhere near wanting to instill fear in our minds, but to keep us prepared for any worst case scenario! Are we prepared if the weather ever got that bad again? Let’s use this opportunity to make sure we’re well prepared for any outrageous and perhaps unexpected natural disasters.

How many of these do we have covered? These are just some basic guidelines on how to be prepared for a Hurricane; this is to make sure we’re prepared for any extensive power outages or if, for any reason, we need to evacuate, we have a plan set in motion for getting to higher ground and securing ourselves safely.

This may not be accessible or feasible for your situation, and that’s okay! As long as we’re doing our best to be as prepared as we can, then we’ll be able to make sure we’re as safe as possible. Our lives depend on it!
