Our next alumni spotlight is Ashlyn🤍🤍
I began dancing at The Dance Zoo during its very first season under the guidance of Jeanine and Danielle, and it quickly became a second home to me. Over the years, I not only trained and grew as a dancer at TDZ, but also had the opportunity to teach there while continuing my passion for dance as a member of my high school dance team throughout all four years of high school.
After my time at The Dance Zoo, I went on to cheer for the University of Wyoming, where I earned degrees in Environment and Natural Resources and Political Science. Today, I live in Dallas, Texas, and work as an Environmental Scientist.
Looking back, The Dance Zoo shaped so much of who I am today. It was more than a dance studio — it was a place of growth, friendship, and belonging. Some of my very best friends and future bridesmaids are girls I met through TDZ. Jeanine and Danielle taught me far more than dance; they instilled in me dedication, discipline, confidence, and the ability to express myself authentically.
I will always be deeply grateful for the experiences, lessons, and lifelong relationships that The Dance Zoo gave me. It truly played an unforgettable role in my life and in the person I have become today.
