Good morning everyone! It's getting close to that time of year again where I will be crafting up some clay creations! This fresh pipen' hot cold porcelain clay was mixed with lemon juice instead of vinegar so I can test it's lasting power.
The last batch I made way back when I was healing from the Vid IS STILL GOOD PEOPLE!
To me that is awesome. It means that properly stored diy clay is just as good as the stuff you pay big bucks for!
I am excited to see where this year's clay creations takes me and I will be making plenty of gnomes too!
I must say that I am pleased to be back at it and excited to see what comes up😉

The best part about your first attempt is it always gets better! Nothing about this thing was easy to make and I had 0 idea as to what I was doing while doing it, but as far as first attempts go, I'm pleased with the outcome thus far.. This "Dark Fae" is far from finished, but worth the share for sure!

Beginning the body work.. I am doing this without any type of tutorial or know how so this should be interesting to watch. The end results will be a surprise to all of us 😂

I can now say with certainty that making this clay in the microwave is much easier then on the stovetop! Finding this out saved my sore arm's 😁💪
This will make my life so much simpler 💕

We were fortunate to have an old friend make an impromptu visit this weekend and I got to create some Homemade Cold Porcelain Clay with his boys! They both made the clay by themselves and got to pick out the color. I thought this would be a great time to show how colored cold porcelain clay darkens as it dries. Notice how light the ball of clay is to the gnome beside it?

COVID did it's best to keep me down, but I fought back and feeling like my old self 😃
So get ready to start seeing me bust out some new Gnome's and get some of these orders out!! So excited to be able to do what I love again, and thank all of you for being patient with me for so long💕

Problem with making everything from scratch, not all batches come out perfect.🤷🏼‍♀️This batch in particular. Trying to push myself to do something.. anything while still battling covid led to me adding too much mineral oil to the mix and the results are an oily, almost rubbery medium.
I always try to make the best out of every situation before I give it a compete fail stamp, so I did my best at trying to add to the clay to make it work, it didn't. So, I tried to create something with it. That didn't quite work either.
Sometimes, the batch is just bad. Ya gotta count your losses, and move on.
🤔😏After giving it some thought, I think it would be great for a homemade Play-Doh.
