Well it was a beautiful morning here in East Texas and the birds thought so too. We have Lark Sparrow, Scissor-tailed Flycatcher x 2 and last but not least Painted Bunting x3. West of Bullard 5/26/26

Well with all the clouds and wind and now rain it is tough finding and photographing the birds I normally see this time of year. But here are a few I picked up over the week. They are Painted Bunting, Blue Grosbeak,Mississippi Kite, Barn Swallow, and over weight Painted Bunting. Lol West of Bullard 5/22/26

Even on a bad day here in East Texas there is something to smile about. This Eastern Kingbird found a pretty place to sit for a while. West of Bullard 5/14/26

Well a front blew through and knocked a few more of these guys out of the sky. Hopefully some will stay here for a while. We have an Orchard Oriole, several Painted Buntings, a Blue Headed Vireo. Female Orchard Oriole, and a Female Painted Bunting.West of Bullard 5/7/26

It makes my day when I go out looking for certain birds and find them and get a good pic of them. This is a good time of year to do that with migration in full swing. In order we have Painted Bunting x3 then Indigo Bunting, Baltimore Oriole, and Dickcissel. West of Bullard except the Oriole was in my back yard.

Well just like clock work these guys showed up for the oranges again this year. I have a problem with the one that has a zip tie for a band on his leg. I understand banding but that's a tiny metal band. This thing is huge and I don't approve. Baltimore Orioles 4/26/26 Bullard

Well we had a northern blow in here Saturday afternoon and that made the birds heading North for migration stop and take a break. So I woke up to a lot of birds out in the country West of Bullard. Here are just a few of the migrants and a few locals I saw this morning. 4/19/26

The Scissor-tail Flycatchers have been very active. Green caterpillars and grasshoppers are plentiful right now. West of Bullard 4/17/26

Well the migrants are moving thru and some are raising a family right here in East Texas. We have a Summer Tanager, Orchard Oriole,Painted Bunting,White-Eyed Vireo, and Scissor-tailed Flycatcher. Things are looking to get good real soon. West of Bullard 4/16/26
