Join us in welcoming more exceptional guest artists and former alumni whose passion and professionalism will elevate our summer training! Marygrace, a native of Atlanta, began her training at BSB, where her love for ballet first blossomed. She continued her studies with the Ballet Conservatory of North Georgia while performing with Georgia Christian Dance Theatre. Throughout her 15 years of training, she earned numerous awards and scholarships from prestigious programs including the American Academy of Ballet, Houston Ballet, The Sarasota Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, and Sacramento Ballet. She furthered her training through summer intensives across the country before accepting a scholarship to join The Sarasota Ballet as a trainee.
Now entering her third season as a Corps de Ballet member with Georgia Ballet, Marygrace is deeply grateful for the journey ballet has given her. Some of her most cherished memories from BSB include lifelong friendships and performing the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy.

Anna DiZinno danced with BSB for 15 years and trained under Andrea Pell at the Ballet Conservatory of North Georgia for eight of those years. During her senior year of high school, she trained at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. This fall, she plans to join State Street Ballet in Santa Barbara as a trainee with the company. Anna’s favorite part of her experience at BSB has been the lifelong friendships she has built through dance, and she is thrilled to be teaching this summer.

AvaCarol Lee spent eight years training at BSB, including five years with GCDT and six years in the Conservatory. She is graduating from the Ballet Magnificat! trainee program, where she has trained for the past two years.
One of AvaCarol’s most treasured memories from her time at BSB was performing the Christ Candle in the Advent Wreath—a role she had dreamed of dancing from the very first time she saw it come to life on stage.

It is a privilege to have these artists invest in our students and help shape their journey at BSB!

We are beyond excited to introduce more of our very own BSB alumni who are now dancing professionally across the country! ✨

Abigail Hull trained at Buford School of Ballet for fifteen years, including eight seasons with Georgia Christian Dance Theater and six with the Ballet Conservatory of North Georgia. This past year, she had the privilege of training as a Trainee with Cincinnati Ballet. In the upcoming season, Abigail will join De La Dance Company as a company member while continuing to pursue her business management degree online through the University of North Georgia. Some of her favorite memories at BSB include long days in the theater, rehearsals with friends, and performing the title role in Cinderella during her senior year.

Addison Koerner began her training at Buford School of Ballet at the age of six and trained there for eleven years, also performing with Georgia Christian Dance Theater and studying at the Ballet Conservatory of North Georgia. She is currently preparing to begin her second season as a member of the Louisville Ballet Studio Company. Addison’s favorite memories from her time at BSB include the joyful in-between moments— like setting up the studio for IDA, Ms B teaching to bullfrogs and butterflies, or working with her little pink princesses—as well as performing roles such as Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty and Sugarplum Fairy and Joy Candle in Star of Wonder.

We can’t wait for our dancers to be inspired, challenged, and encouraged by these incredible role models all summer long!

Summer at Buford School of Ballet keeps getting better ✨
We’re so proud to bring back alumni who are continuing to grow and have a desire to share their knowledge with the next generation.

Marisol Lockhart began her training at BSB at just 2 years old and later joined Georgia Christian Dance Theatre and Ballet Conservatory of North Georgia under Andrea Pell. At 16, she became a trainee with Charlotte Ballet, training under renowned faculty including Patricia McBride. While there, she performed featured and corps roles in works such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and Balanchine repertoire, and was even featured in Pointe Magazine. After graduating high school, Marisol joined The Georgia Ballet’s Second Company and has recently been promoted to the main company for the 26/27 season.

Natalie Garcia trained at BSB for 13 years and graduated last May! She is now attending the University of Georgia, where she is studying political science. Her favorite BSB memory is last year’s recital, The Wizard of Oz, and she is so excited to be back at BSB this summer!

We love seeing our dancers come full circle and can’t wait for our students to be inspired by them 💛

Summer at Buford School of Ballet is something special ✨
Our classes and intensives give dancers the unique opportunity to train with working professionals who are actively pursuing careers in the dance world—and we love welcoming our alumni back home to share their experience.
We’re so excited to spotlight two of our incredible summer staff members:
Miranda Gomez was at BSB for 8 years from when she was 11 to the end of her first year at The University of Georgia. She was proudly part of GCDT and The Ballet Conservatory of North Georgia. Miranda will be entering the second company at The Georgia Ballet in the Fall after a season as a trainee with their professional company. Her favorite memory at BSB will always be rehearsing and performing the role of LaFou in Beauty and the Beast in her senior spring performance.
Laney spent 14 years training at BSB and was also a member of Georgia Christian Dance Theatre and Ballet Conservatory of North Georgia. She is currently dancing with Gwinnett Ballet Theatre. Her favorite memories at BSB are the countless laughs shared backstage with her friends during performances. Sleeping Beauty stands out most—especially getting to perform the dream role of Aurora alongside such a special group of dancers.
We are so proud of these dancers and can’t wait for our students to learn from them this summer 💛

And just like that… the curtain closes on Snow White 2026. 🍎✨

It’s hard to put into words what this season has meant. What began as rehearsals and small moments grew into something so much bigger—confidence built, friendships deepened, and stories told through every step on stage. Watching these dancers pour their hearts into this ballet has been nothing short of emotional.

There is something so special about live theater… the way a single performance can hold months of dedication, quiet perseverance, and unforgettable memories. And now, all that’s left are the echoes of the music, the final bows, and the feeling of something truly beautiful shared together.

To our dancers, families, and staff—thank you for trusting the process, for showing up, and for giving this story life. This wasn’t just a recital… it was a moment in time we’ll carry with us.

And while it’s always bittersweet to say goodbye, there’s a quiet excitement in what’s ahead… because the magic never really ends—it simply changes.

Here’s to the memories we’ve made, and the ones still waiting for us next season. 🌟
