Have you heard of The Olivia Act? An anonymous photographer started this act in honor of one of the precious children who was killed in the Newtown massacre. Her family had just gotten family photos taken a short time before she was killed. As we all know, photos are precious ways to remember your past and honor it through your future. The photographer of the session, though, decided to give away a 30 minute photo shoot for a family who may not have many resources available and has challenged other photographers to do so, as well. In light of this, I'd like to honor these children and accept the challenge.
I'll be accepting nominations from now until December 31, 2012 for families in the Buford area who you believe would cherish this opportunity. The gift will be a 30-minute photo session, in addition to a disk of their edited photos that includes shared copyrights. Please email me your nominations (name and contact information) and a description about why they deserve this gift at [email protected]. Please DO NOT list their information on this post.
Feel free to share this post on your page so I can get more nominations for deserving families! Thanks in advance for your help! :)
**Other photographers... please consider this act as an opportunity to honor those who were lost during the massacre. It's just one small way of reinstating some of the kindness that was lost on that day.
