Art Resource and Mirabo Press invite you to celebrate the launch of The Raft Residency, a new incubator-style residency program created to support artists through print-based practice, experimentation, collaboration, and mentorship.

Created in honor of Elisabeth Samuels, the residency reflects a shared belief in the power of art to reconnect us, transform us, and create space for renewal.

The evening will include the premiere screening of a film by Nate Perracini exploring the work and creative relationship between photographer DJ Carr and sculptor Juan Bordes, presented in conjunction with our current exhibition, MONUMENT & MEMORY.

Saturday, May 30
TENfold Gallery
255 Louisiana Street, Buffalo, NY
• 5:30 PM — Doors Open
• 6:00–7:00 PM — Film Screening & Conversation
• 7:00–9:00 PM — Exhibition Reception & Residency Celebration
Guests will also have the first opportunity to purchase the inaugural residency artist book, with proceeds directly supporting future residency programming. Reserve your spot at the button below.

Each year in September, the BSA juries in new Exhibiting Members. If you are not an Exhibiting Member and are interested in joining this year or in the future, please take advantage of the programming the BSA Education Team has scheduled starting in June through August. All Workshop programs are open to the public.

The first program is a simple work in progress get together at the home of Exhibiting Member Julia Skop in Snyder. This meetup gives you a chance to share your creative process and learn from other artists while working on pieces during a friendly get together. Later meetings will help you with portfolio review, artist statements and CVs, and to apply for Exhibiting Member status in the BSA.

The WIP Meeting is June 6th at 6pm.
