Ohhh, I'm loving these folded baskets we're going to make at Peaks 26! Like many quilters, I suffer (?) from a condition called "container-itis" so these cute reversible baskets I can make in any size really hit many high notes for me. I was taking our dog Hexe outside this morning, and there were tiny flakes of snow being blown around, sparkly everywhere. It felt like being inside a snow globe. Sadly I wasn't able to capture it with the camera. Still, a pretty morning.

So 5 weeks ago, this big truck arrived outside my house in Indiana. Was I ready for them? I think most know I wasn't quite. ðŸĪŠ Amidst the weeks of boxes & rolls of tape, there was a trip to Buffalo to find a house, a quick trip to Switzerland for Peaks, a trip to FL to clear out & sell my mom's house, and a quilty weekend. Was I even home at all? One might think not but I also had to manage getting a patio laid and other things to get the IN house ready to rent. It's been a difficult year and this is the beginning of the new adventure. Unpacking is ongoing but it's beginning to look like home. 😊âĪïļ

It is with a heavy heart I must announce that the world's best pressing fairy has earned her angel wings. My dear mother passed last Thurs evening with my sister & I at her side. It's time! Registration for Patchwork in the Peaks 25 is now open! Our focus this session will be using fabrics from the beautiful ombre lines created by Vanessa Christenson for Moda (). The primary project uses half jelly rolls with dynamic results. One could use yardage to make the secondary project, honeycomb pouches. Looking forward to seeing you in the Peaks!

How much fun can one stuff into 2.5 days at ? So much to miss it before you've even left the ground. Very happy I could be there with these longtime friends made at , even for a blink, to cheer on a 3rd place prize for ! ðŸĨģðŸĨģ Next time will be longer. 😘 Thanks for being my roommate Lee !
