Attention Buffalo songwriters: if you’ve yet to join us for our monthly Songwriter Peer Group founded in 2019, this is your sign.

Held the last Monday of every month and hosted by Program Director and veteran songwriter Sara Elizabeth, this is where experienced Buffalo writers gather to craft and collaborate, receive feedback, dig into semantics and chord progressions, talk about process, and above all else, serve the song.

Dates for the rest of the year are October 26th, November 30th, and December 28th. Feel free to DM or reach out to [email protected] with any questions!

Join us at our monthly MiA Showcase at Jack Rabbit for a traditional writers’ round with three of Buffalo’s premier songwriters - Trever Stribing of PA LINE, Mike Criscione, and Snow Cricket! This will be a Nashville-style writers’ round with songs, stories, and camaraderie.

Come mingle with other Buffalo musicians and industry professionals in a top-notch music venue and see some of the immense talent Buffalo has to offer. Doors @ 7, show @ 8, no cover!

Join Music is Art at Buffalo Distilling Co. Thursday 10/1 for our monthly open mic with featured songwriter YounKonDe and host Trever Stribing! Sign-ups start at 6:30 followed by a short set from YounKonDe at 7 before we open up the mic! All genres and experience levels welcome.

Today, the Buffalo History Museum unveiled its new Goo Goo Dolls exhibit, and we’re incredibly honored to see Music is Art and Robby Takac’s story included alongside it
