More than 53 years after his earliest documented Buffalo performance — at Buffalo Memorial Auditorium in November 1973, followed by shows at UB’s Clark Gymnasium and the New Century Theatre in 1975 — Taj Mahal returns to Western New York in historic fashion. Now celebrating over six decades of musical innovation, he brings his singular artistry to Buffalo on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

Taj’s accolades are as vast as his influence: five Grammy Awards, sixteen nominations, induction into the Blues Hall of Fame, a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Americana Music Association, and recognition as a 2025 Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award Honoree.
