Did you know that every Wandering Tea Society party gets its very own custom tea?

We don’t believe your tea party should feel like everyone else’s. Whether your theme is whimsical, spooky, romantic, literary, nostalgic, or something completely unique, we create a loose-leaf blend inspired specifically by you and your celebration.

Sometimes the inspiration comes from the theme. Sometimes it’s a favorite flavor, a special memory, a color, a character, or even an inside joke! Then we turn those ideas into a tea that becomes part of your party’s story.

🌿🫖✨ Indigenous Peoples Day ✨🫖🌿

Today, we honor and celebrate Indigenous peoples, cultures, communities, and traditions — not just today, but throughout the year.

As a business rooted in gathering people around tea, we believe in recognizing the people and histories connected to the land where we gather. Indigenous peoples have cared for these lands, waters, plants, and communities since long before the borders and names we know today.

Today is an opportunity to listen, learn, support Indigenous voices, and celebrate living cultures rather than treating Indigenous history as something belonging only to the past.

We encourage our tea-loving community to seek out Indigenous authors, artists, educators, businesses, and organizations and to learn whose ancestral lands you live and gather on.

May our tables be places of connection, respect, remembrance, and continued learning.

🫖🍓 Sip on that Sunday: Read the Room 🍓🫖

Some teas have a story behind them… and Read the Room has quite the story coming. 👀

This special herbal blend was created for a very special party with a spectacular theme. It’s bright, fruity, and very, VERY red, made with:

🌺 Hibiscus
🍋 Lemon balm
🍎 Apple
🍓 Strawberry
❤️ Raspberry
🍦 Vanilla

And why was a bunch of men drinking a bright red herbal tea at this particular party? Well… let’s just say this tea is cramp-friendly.

🧠🫖✨ World Mental Health Day ✨🫖🧠

Today, October 10th, is World Mental Health Day — a reminder that taking care of your mind deserves just as much attention as taking care of your body.

So consider this your official invitation to get some Tearapy!

Pour yourself something comforting. Take a few deep breaths. Read a book. Sit with someone you love. Step outside. And if you need more support, reaching out to a therapist or mental health professional is always worth considering.

Sometimes self-care looks like a quiet cup of tea. Sometimes it looks like asking for help. Sometimes it looks like both.

Whatever you need today, we hope you give yourself permission to take a moment and care for you.

Your cup can be full of tea AND you can still ask someone to help carry what’s heavy.

🔮🫖 Fun Fact Friday 🫖🔮

Ever wondered where the fancy word for tea leaf reading comes from?

The practice is called tasseography (also spelled tasseomancy), and the name is a little linguistic tea party of its own!

“Tasse” comes from the French word for cup, while “-graphy” comes from Greek and relates to writing or description. Put them together and you essentially get “writing in the cup.”

Tasseomancy uses a different Greek ending: “-mancy,” meaning divination. So tasseography and tasseomancy are two names you may hear for interpreting the patterns left behind by loose tea leaves.

The practice became established in Europe after tea arrived from China in the 17th century, although reading patterns in the residue of drinks has a much broader history across different cultures.

So the next time someone asks what you call reading tea leaves, you can impress them with:

Tasseography!

Because every time we think we have plenty, we find another one that we absolutely need.

A pretty floral one? Obviously.
A weird little vintage one? Obviously.

Something tiny and adorable? We have no choice.
A cup that matches a specific vibe we might need someday?** Welcome to the family.**

The truth is, we love having enough tea cups to make sure every party guest can have something that feels special—and enough variety to match whatever kind of tea party we’re creating.

🕸️🫖 Sip on that Sunday: Web of Lies 🫖🕸️

Some stories are sweet. Some are romantic. And some are full of secrets, deception, and enough twists to leave you wondering who you can trust.

That was the inspiration behind Web of Lies, our custom tea created for the Blind Tea Date featuring Mistress by James Patterson and David Ellis.

This mysterious blend brings together:

🫖 Ceylon Black Tea
🫐 Black Currant
🌹 Rose
🍎 Apple
🌿 Cinnamon

Bold Ceylon creates the foundation, while darkly fruity black currant brings a little intrigue. Rose adds something beautiful and unexpected, apple brings a touch of sweetness, and cinnamon ties everything together with a warm little bite.

Because what’s a web of lies without a few layers?

We loved creating a tea that felt like it belonged alongside a story where nothing is quite as simple as it seems.

This was one of our Blind Tea Dates from over the summer, but the adventure doesn’t have to end there!
