We’ve been keeping a secret.

After months in the studio, we’re excited to finally share our latest collaboration with artist Ali Banisadr: a new etching edition printed at Mirabo Press.

Commissioned by the Buffalo AKG Art Museum and published by Cristea Roberts Gallery, the edition made its public debut in Temple of the Mind, Banisadr’s exhibition at Buffalo AKG Art Museum, co-curated by the artist and Holly E. Hughes.

It was a privilege to work with ALI BANISADR on this project, and we’re honored to see the print included in such a remarkable exhibition. If you’re in Buffalo, don’t miss it.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes videos documenting the making of the etching, from the first bite of the plate to the final prints. We hope you’ll follow along for a closer look at the process. Learn more about the collaboration through the link in our bio.

Kitchen Lithography Workshop
Wednesday, June 17th, 2026
6:00-8:30pm

Participants will learn Kitchen Litho, otherwise known as Tin Foil Litho, an alternative lithography process using materials readily found in the kitchen - tin foil, cola, vegetable oil, and a wooden spoon! This approach is great for newcomers to print media and seasoned printers alike. This workshop will share an inexpensive means to make multiples, printable from home, as either complete works or additional elements to other drawings, prints, or collages.

Learn about the playful and immediate process of low relief pressure printing. Using hand-cut paper, tape, and other materials, we will explore collage and stencil work to create lush and atmospheric prints with a graphic base. We’ll be making prints on the etching press but will also include instructions for how to make pressure prints using a rolling pin - no press required!

NEW RELEASES BY MARK DION

Mirabo is proud to present a new suite of limited edition screenprints by New York based artist Mark Dion.

Created in close collaboration with the artist, this set of four two-layer screenprints was completed in our studio this winter. Each work features beautifully hand-drawn imagery and reflects Dion’s distinctive approach to observation and detail. The prints are available individually or as a complete set.

Mark Dion is a globally recognized contemporary American artist whose work mimics historical or scientific displays; it is often formed through site-specific collaborative efforts and/or the mining of museums, archives or specific geographic areas. Through it, Dion investigates ways knowledge is constructed, classified, and presented revealing the cultural and ideological assumptions behind institutional authority and colonial collecting practices. His art points to environmental degradation and the current global biodiversity crisis as well as the broader subjective nature of truth.
