I asked AI to change the baby into a space alien elf emerging from Santa's stomach. ChatGPT said that would violate the guide lines and stopped. Then I said just brighten up the background. This was it's idea, the whole alien in a Christmas stocking. The background is brighter.

I ask most children what they like the most about school. Recess is the most common but then comes Math. I'm amazed at how many kids say Math but I think that it's great. My starter career was in engineering so I appreciate a good grounding in math. Good job teachers.
This year exactly four children out of thousands gave the answer that I like the best and it's beautiful, "I love to learn". That's what they like most about going to school. Santa sure wishes that he had some 'I love to learn' magic dust for everyone. Recess is still cool though.

This season started on a weekend with Willie Wonka in the Fowlers Chocolate Factory. Thousands of people came for the tour and Santa was there at the end to wish them Merry Christmas. The Buffalo Holiday Market began on Black Friday and on Saturday an eight year old girl told me that her Christmas was already perfect because she had just been adopted. Over the four weekends at the market Santa was visited by thousands of kids and an equal number of grownup kids. A dozen videos were made and sent to loved ones all over the world. Four families with kids on the cusp conspired with Santa before they came to visit hoping for just one more believer year. Christmas birthday kids got sleigh bells and many children had gold stars beside their name on the nice list. One little boy wanted his present given to a poor child. He got Santa's special silver coin for his selflessness. Finally, there were all of the returning families with children I recognized. I love watching them grow. There was an awfully lot of magic that happened in Santa's workshop this year and , God willing, we'll do it all again next year.
Thank you all for following a really fun season, it was memorable.
Tomorrow I turn 77, a Christmas baby myself. A couple of decades ago I said that I'd Santa until I can't. I'm not seeing the end of that path yet. Santa loves you, Santa loves Buffalo and thank you Buffalo Holiday Market for giving Santa a place to spread Christmas joy. Merry Christmas

Over the years Santa has had the great joy of watching families grow year after year. Some of those families become special to him and he always looks forward to their return visit. My season's last highlight was the return visit of Milah, Noah and the toddler twins.
Three years ago when Milah was five she brought me a letter that asked that I give her present to a poor child. Those are magical words. Noah was cute as a button and the infant twins, dressed in Buffalo plaid were cradled one each in Santa's arms. That night I went on and on about them with Mrs. Claus and said how much I'd like a photo. Santa's always on the wrong end of the camera. .... Anyway, their mom came back alone the next night just to thank me and she gave me pics. Milah made me think that this family was special and mom confirmed it.
Three years later, Milah and Noah believe in Santa with all their hearts, the toddler twins aren't far behind and I am and will be their Santa. Santa doesn't have favorites, he just appreciates special. Merry Christmas Erika, Merry Christmas Dad and Merry Christmas wee ones.
