Founded by an ensemble of multi-faceted musicians and industry professionals, Noise Collective is the largest free music networking event, striving to bring people together in a social environment with the common thread of music. In its second year, the monthly event saw an expansion from New York City to Buffalo and Philadelphia. Each month, the meet-ups attract committed regulars alongside a swa
rm of eager newcomers. “The number of attendees has been on the steady incline since we started these events over a year ago, but we’ve seen the numbers increase at a rapid rate in the last few months. It’s been incredibly encouraging to see how many of our peers share the same ideals.”
Noise Collective not only serves as a way for industry professionals to expand their contacts, but offers artists the opportunity to gain exposure to an influential community. Each month promises a host of Spotlight Guests, heavy-hitters spanning a variety of fields in the music industry. Some past guests include representatives from The Agency Group, Atlantic Records, The Island Def Jam Music Group, BMI, Live Nation, AEG Entertainment, talent buyers from top venues, and even a special appearance from Brian Viglione of The Dresden Dolls. Through this unique industry collaboration, Noise Collective aims to bridge the gap between artist and industry, allowing for connections to be made in a relaxed, communal environment. In cities that can often come across as daunting and unapproachable, Noise Collective provides an alternative to impersonal exchanges and unwelcoming spaces. “It was born out of a noticeable lack of community in the music scene and a necessity for a central gathering point where people could meet, share ideas, and help each other learn how to do what we do better, without any exclusivity. We’re accepting of anyone who has an interest in being a part of our community. If music is your passion, Noise Collective is your scene.”
