Monday, 26 May 2025 was the 59th anniversary of Guyana's independence from the United Kingdom. Guyana is about the same size as Great Britain, but has only 800,000 thousand people. The two largest ethnic groups are Indo-Guyanese and Afro-Guyanese. This country is on the South American continent, but has deep connections to the Caribbean islands. The Carib Indians come from here as do the Arawak and Taino. This beautiful land also has a huge deposit of oil off shore discovered recently in 2015. God Bless Guyana and bring harmony to its people as they navigate the perils of being a Petro-state and one of the world's fastest growing economies.

Sunday 25 May 2025 was the 62nd celebration of African Liberation Day, also known as African Freedom Day, and also known as Africa Day. It celebrates the foundation of the Organization of African Unity. The OAU has since changed its name to the African Union. Ironically for Americans this is also the day George Floyd was murdered by Minneapolis police triggering mass protests against racist policing in the United States.

Africa Day (formerly African Freedom Day and African Liberation Day) is the annual commemoration of the foundation of the Organization of African Unity on 25 May 1963.[1] It is celebrated in various countries on the African continent as well as around the world.[2] The organization was replaced by t...

Justice for the family of Malik el-Shabazz!

Justice for the Black Community for the deliberate attack on its moral and intellectual leadership.

These public revelations fit into a historical record of government oppression and suppression of legitimate indigenous leadership, not just in America, but broadly in the global south. This has been pervasive in post-colonial Africa. Nelson Mandela's imprisonment and Patrice Lumumba's assassination are just two well known of many cases.

On the 58th anniversary of Malcolm X's assassination, civil rights lawyer Benjamin Crump announced a new lawsuit from Malcolm X's surviving family seeking co...

Malcolm X was assassinated 58 years ago and we are still trying to see past government secrets and devious tactics. They used any and all means against him, and perhaps the most effective was framing him as violent and as a promoter of violence. Remember, his last efforts were to raise the plight of the American Negro from merely civil rights violations, to it's true light as violations of human rights. He understood that our government was not a fair and impartial arbiter of justice, but often the instrument of racist agents. The more that is revealed the more right Malcolm turns out to be. And don't forget that beneath all the demonization of Malcolm lived a very sincere Muslim, Pan African, and Humanist.

In the summer of 1990 Fight the Power was a huge hit. Exactly 30 years later after the murder of George Floyd on African Liberation Day (May 25 2020) in the summer Americans had an uprising that would not have been possible if Hip Hop hadn't changed our consciousness
