Those of you who still miss Mondo (I run into you once in awhile in public: amazing how many of you held onto your cheap paper membership cards!) should check out this documentary on one of the stores that inspired me to open shop.

Originally run by the enigmatic Yongman Kim out of his dry-cleaning business, Kim's Video (NYC) was a cornucopia of rare, esoteric films.

Former Mondo clerk Wheez (who for the last year of the store was there pretty much all the hours we were open) will be in Buffalo this week playing (drums, I presume) with Aussie rockabilly act -The Red Hot Poker Dots. They'll be at at Nietzche's Thursday night (July the 7th) - come say hi!
