SUNY Erie Community College & Hispanic Heritage Cultural Institute

The Real Life Rosies training program is coming this fall to SUNY Erie Community College North Campus. This 12-week, part-time, entry-level training program is tailored specifically to women looking to explore careers in Manufacturing. Students will earn 2 nationally recognized certifications, job interviews and tours with local manufacturers, supportive services for both transportation and childcare, as well as stipends for students that successfully complete program milestones. The program is generously funded by Empire State Development and is available at no cost to participants. Interested students can scan the QR code or feel free to reach out to me directly.

Celebrating Community and Culture: Goya Foods Tour at the Hispanic Heritage Cultural Institute.

We were honored to welcome Rafael Toro, National Vice-President of Public & Government Relations for Goya Foods, to the Hispanic Heritage Cultural Institute this past Wednesday for an inspiring site tour!

Accompanied by Rodriguez Construction Group Inc. Project Manager Quinten Koch and HHC President/Developer Cas Rodriguez, Mr. Toro explored the ongoing progress of our facility and saw firsthand how our vision is coming to life.

A centerpiece of this partnership is Goya Foods’ proud sponsorship of the third-floor commercial kitchen. This state-of-the-art space will soon be home to the Goya Foods Culinary Arts Program, a dynamic initiative designed to provide culinary education, professional pathways, and wonderful opportunities for the Hispanic and Latino population across the region, as well as the community at large.

We are deeply grateful to Goya Foods for their steadfast support and shared commitment to empowering our community through culture, education, and connection.
