This is a painting not a photo. It is done in acrylics.

This is a small restaurant tucked away in a fishing area of Daytona, Florida. It is a very laid-back location where you can go for tranquility and enjoy the sunshine at the same time. A favorite location of mine so I thought I would try to do it justice in a painting. I was hoping the result would be a painting that could be hung in our house in Buffalo to continue the good vibes at home.

The phot of this young lady was taken at a restaurant with limited natural light from a window. I used white pastel pencil on black paper to create this "Portrait of Chianti".

-A friend of ours wanted to meet her for dinner. She brought along her young friend and requested I take some pictures of her after dinner, in the restaurant, for reference to create this portrait .

Observations of bees in gardens in general.

I tried doing this piece using a limited color pallet. With yellows I found it challenging and fun trying to get shade variations to where I wanted them - honestly I almost did not submit it.

Glowing Shore - my husband photographed the picture for me.

I am currently recovering from a surgery for my ankle from a car accident injury in 2023. I am non-weight bearing. Normally I paint in acrylics. I was getting board and a bit grumpy not being able to create. I used to do pastels as a kid. Since I can do oil pastels sitting down without moving around much I thought I would give it another go. I love brilliant sunsets and water. I wanted to create something serene and peaceful after a storm.

This is a drawing.

-My wife and I met a friend for dinner and this young lady was the daughter of her friend ; she asked me to take some pictures of her after dinner, to use as a reference for a drawing. I did this drawing on black paper using a soft white pastel pencil.
