George was a brilliant teacher and pianist that I was fortunate enough to study with and play with regularly for over ten years at Oliver’s. Rest in peace my mentor and friend. You have made an indelible impact and you will be missed.

George A Jones, age 80, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2024 following a rapid decline of illness. George was a loving father and devoted husband. He was an educator, composer, and prominent musician whose lifelong love and mastery of jazz improvisation inspired the community of Western New York....
