With colder/windy weather today, this 80 year old girl is taking a little longer to get up to pressure. 🚂💨

We will be opening the parking area at around 1:45pm with the the model train display operating, the shop open, alpaca encounters and pumpkin patch open.🎃🦙🍂🍁

The steamer should be ready between 2:15-2:30pm

💥The Pumpkin Patch will officially open from 1:30pm to 4:00pm today.🎃🦙🚂

Today is the Hyndman Homecoming Parade and we would like to encourage our visitors to start their day by visiting Hyndman, stopping by the musuem, checking out the vendors/local small businesses and to enjoy the Hyndman Homecoming Parade.🇺🇸

⚠️ We have limited parking available at the ranch this season due to continued construction and the lot will be roped off when full.🅿️

❗️There will be no portable restrooms available at the ranch this weekend. We are doing everything we can to encourage folks to visit and support downtown Hyndman today which is just a short 3 minute drive from the farm. Use restrooms in town and support our local small businesses and nonprofits!🚫🚽🚻

🎃As of this afternoon, it appears our Pumpkin Patch Express first weekend will go on as scheduled.🎃

⚠️However, there is rain in the forecast this evening and into the early morning. Depending on the amount of rain we get overnight will determine if we will be open Saturday (tomorrow) or just Sunday.🌧️

‼️We will make an update post in the morning on the weather and any subsequent schedule changes.‼️

Should we get rained out this weekend, there is no need to worry as our Pumpkin Patch Express is also scheduled for October 17th-18th!❤️🚂🎃🦙

💥Our next upcoming public events for the 2026 season are our Pumpkin Patch Express weekends.🎃

Included with the price of admission, each guest will get one cup of alpaca treats, get to pick one pumpkin from our pumpkin patch, enjoy interactions with some of our critters (llamas, alpacas, sheep & goats), tour our on-site ranch shop with model train display, alpaca products and model railroad items available for sale as well as getting treated to a short demonstration ride behind one of our historic coal-fired 12-inch gauge steam locomotives along a portion of the ranch railroad (currently under construction and nearing completion).❤️🚂🦙🎃🍁🍂

Dates: October 3rd-4th and 17th-18th

Admission is $3 per child (12 and under) 5 per adult (13-64) and $4 per senior (65+).

⚠️Please note the these dates are weather permitting and subject to change/cancelation in inclement/stormy weather!🌧️

That’s a wrap for National Alpaca Farm Days 2026 (20th anniversary celebration). ❤️🦙

Although we had to close a little early due to the rain, we had just enough time for our sweet little dachshund (Mr. Crunch) to take his first ride on the Ottaway steam train. He certainly had a blast!❤️🐶🚂
