✨ What an incredible evening! ✨
We are proud to share that we successfully completed our 8th Annual International Women’s Day 2026 celebration—and what a celebration it was! Almost a full house, endless applause, thoughtful Q&A sessions after each performance, and an audience that was truly present, engaged, and heartfelt.
Kudos to everyone—onstage and offstage—who made this event so special. 💛
A huge congratulations to Team Mandi Theatre for our home production MARD AUR AURAT—a powerful performance that resonated deeply. Special appreciation to Ahmed Bin Athar and Swati Pandey for bringing such honesty and intensity to the stage.
We were equally honored to present BIKHRE BIMB, beautifully directed by Barkha Kishnani and performed by Team ICS, NJ—a nuanced and moving production that stayed with us long after the curtain call.
This evening was also a tribute to two remarkable playwrights—Dr. Rasheed Jahan and Vijay Tendulkar—whose voices continue to challenge, inspire, and remain deeply relevant even today.
As the world continues to navigate gender equity, creative freedom, and representation, these plays reminded us that women’s struggles—personal, social, and artistic—are far from over. They call for reflection, dialogue, and collective responsibility toward a more just and inclusive future.
We were deeply honored by the gracious presence of Consul General Sri Somnath Ghosh, whose support reflects how strongly our Indian Consulate stands behind community-driven artistic initiatives.
A special thank you to our wonderful emcee, Sri Rakesh Malhotra, for steering the evening so seamlessly. The pin-drop silence during both performances spoke volumes about the audience’s connection and engagement.
Our heartfelt gratitude to dear Sabra ji and Madhu Uppal ji—your continued support and belief in Mandi Theatre means the world to us. Your contribution to this journey will never be forgotten. 💐
And finally—thank you to our sponsors, supporters, volunteers, and our loving audience. Your encouragement, presence, and energy are what keep theatre alive and thriving.
Here’s to many more stories, many more voices, and many more powerful evenings together. 🎭
