Mandi Theater "मंडी थिएटर ग्रुप" is a creative yet challenging initiative to preserve India's great theatrical tradition.

"मंडी थिएटर ग्रुप" is the group of like-minded enthusiasts of 'traditional Hindi theatre' in the Chicago area. We are dedicated to producing the "classics" of Indian dramatic literature, which are not accessible to a wide audience, here in Chicago.

Mandi Theater’s 4th Theatre Festival for Young Audiences was truly a celebration of young talent, creativity, languages, and the magic of the stage. ❤️

A HUGE THANK YOU to our two wonderful Emcees, Abhinav Mandal and Parnika Agarwal, for keeping the audience engaged and the energy alive throughout the festival. 🎤👏

To all the parents— thank you for your constant support, encouragement, and for giving your children the opportunity to learn, explore, and shine on stage. ❤️

To all the Gurus and teachers— thank you for your patience, guidance, and countless hours of teaching and preparation. Your contribution goes far beyond the stage. 🙏

✨ Mandi Theater’s 4th Season Theatre Festival for Young Audiences ✨

What a beautiful and heartwarming musical performance! ❤️🎶

Under the guidance of Ms. Ranjita Roy – Sangeet Prabhakar (Prayag Samiti) and Sangeet Sudhakar (Bengal), her talented students presented a beautiful group rendition of the Hindi patriotic song “Sandese Aate Hain.” 🇮🇳

Their voices filled the hall with emotion and patriotism, creating such a wonderful atmosphere. The audience truly enjoyed the performance and showed their appreciation with a big round of applause! 👏❤️

We are thrilled to introduce Abhinav Mandal and Parnika Agarwal, two talented young performers who will be hosting the 4th Theatre Festival for Young Audiences 2026 together! 🌟

Abhinav, a passionate music and theatre enthusiast who loves connecting with audiences, brings his experience in singing and performing in multiple languages. Parnika, a young theatre and music enthusiast, has performed in musicals and plays and has been learning piano and Hindustani classical music for several years. 🎶🎭

With their enthusiasm, confidence, and love for the performing arts, we know they will bring wonderful energy to the stage and make the festival even more special for our young performers and audience! 👏✨

And what a great turnout for the audition! It was wonderful to see so many theatre lovers come together, share their talent, and celebrate the joy of theatre.

🎭 MTF 2026 | 10th Annual Mandi Theater Festival 🎭

This year is different. This year is special. This year is historic. ❤️

A decade ago, we began a small journey with a simple dream—to create a space where community theatre could come together, stories could travel across cultures, and artists could share the stage. Ten years later, that little dream has grown into the Mandi Theater Festival. 🎭

Over the years, we have watched MTF grow slowly and steadily, welcoming theatre groups and artists from near and far. And this year, as we celebrate our 10th Annual Festival, we received an incredible number of entries, making the selection process exceptionally challenging. After many discussions and much deliberation, the final selection is now complete! ✨

Before we reveal the complete lineup, here’s a little glimpse of what awaits you…

This year, MTF will bring you powerful works by some of the most celebrated playwrights, while also paying tribute to remarkable voices whose words continue to live on through theatre, even though they are no longer with us.
