Got this Wurlitzer speaker cabinet with no speakers. It’s got a tremolo mechanism via the hexagonal plates in the top speaker slots. The motor for that works and they spin. I thought it would make a cool project to put speakers in and run guitars through it. I used it once by just sticking a small amp in there. Anyway, unfulfilled project. Free for the taking, I no longer have room for it. Lmk!

There’s a slew of new music out today and also in last couple of weeks from artists we’ve had the pleasure of working with here . Not to mention that this batch is all so vastly different from each other, I’m proud of the work and grateful for the opportunities. You know, you know, it’s that time of year. Winding down and looking back, but also looking forward and planning ahead. As always, thank you to all the bands, artists and musicians who allowed Lechehouse Music and me , to help get your projects done. The image above is music that we worked on here, whether producing, recording or mixing, albums or singles, that wasn’t necessarily recorded this year, but was released this year. Thanks to , , , .jaguar.band, , , .point.music, and . So glad to see all this music out there. And I’m looking forward to all the new music we’ll get next year from everything we worked on this year with , , , , , , , and others. Thanks everyone, I’m grateful to be able to do this and I learn from every new project. I hope to get to work with more great musicians and bands in the coming year. Big congrats to and having record release shows this weekend. We worked on both these albums here at Lechehouse last year. Produced, recorded and mixed by . Brother Thunder will have vinyl for sale at their show Friday and Jaime Ospina’s album is available digitally on Bandcamp. Super proud of both of these records, they’re both melting posts of sound and style and feature a multitude of local Austin talent. So please get out and support these guys at their shows and buy an album!

Congratulations to on the front page feature of his new record “The Vessel.” This was a truly collaborative and special project he conceived and that we were able to record and mix here . The list of musicians who recorded in this ensemble, live in one room, working in shifts, is too long to list here but is listed in detail on Bandcamp. First of all, don’t judge my graphic design skills. 😂 Second of all, I’d like to thank all the bands and artists that came through the studio and allowed me to work on their projects. This is a selection of records and singles recorded, mixed and produced at Lechehouse by and released this year. I thoroughly enjoyed and learned from working on all of them.

There were many more we worked on this year that I’m excited to see released in 2025. Of particular note were the number of records this year funded by grants either from or . I think the availability of this funding is a bright note in what can often be a daunting environment for artists. And just from my experience, this funding is proving to be a crucial asset to the music community.

I look forward to 2025 and continuing to work on incredible music from the ceaseless talent in Austin and beyond. I also look forward to making some big announcements next year regarding the studio and some personal projects as well.

Nothing like gettin down and dirty in the spaghetti. Finally got the Otari back from the shop after approximately 360 days. Pulled the 388 out, put the M312 in and after some repairs on the 388, will have 2 tape options. Gonna be doing some tests, but excited to have the mx5050 up and running and start rolling. Come by and record you some!
