🪩MEET THE TEACHER🪩

Next in our meet the teacher series, Miss Ashley! Ashley teaches petite jazz as well as all of our ballet and pre-pointe classes for students in the petite level and higher. She has a deep understanding of classical technique and we know our students will thrive under her guidance! 💙

Originally from Chelsea, Alabama, Ashley has trained in piano from the age of 6 and in ballet from the age of 4. Today, she is a classical musician and owner of In Harmony Music Studio in Buckhannon which offers piano, voice, and organ lessons. She holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Alabama, a Master of Music from Bowling Green State University, and she is currently a doctoral candidate at West Virginia University pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance. She recently joined the faculty of Frostburg State University as an adjunct professor of organ and class piano. She also serves as church pianist at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Ashley is excited to be starting Studio 33’s first pre-pointe class this year and to develop our pointe program!

Ashley is an incredible artist and we are so lucky to have her on our team! 🩰

🪩MEET THE TEACHER🪩

Introducing Miss Allison! Allison teaches classes at Studio 33 in the styles of ballet, jazz, and lyrical, as well as offering private lessons. She is a phenomenal dancer and is a great inspiration to our students! 🩰

Allison Kincaid is a former dancer of The Dance Factory and Augusta Youth Ballet Company in Buckhannon from the ages of 16-18. This was where she first met Miss Em as her first dance teacher! Allison has been with Studio 33 since it first started in 2024. During this time, she has learned to be a better teacher while also continuing her dance training in her current styles and more. Allison wants to prove you don't need to start early in dance to be a great dancer!

🪩MEET THE TEACHER🪩

Introducing Miss Siobhan! Siobhan teaches hippity hop in our teeny program for ages 3-5. Her love for dance is infectious and she brings a great energy to our teeny dancers and our studio! 🫶

Siobhan began dancing at age 2 and started competing at the age of 11. She trained at Lee’s Studio of Dance for 16 years and in high school was also a singer/dancer in Capital VIP Show Choir. Siobhan then attended West Virginia Wesleyan College where she received her nursing degree. While in nursing school, Siobhan remained active in the WVWC dance department and was a member of the dance team. She is currently an RN at United Hospital Center. Miss Siobhan is excited to focus on building confidence, strength, and a sense of fun for our littlest dancers. This will be her third year at Studio 33.

🪩MEET THE TEACHER🪩

New to our teaching staff this year, Miss Taylor! Taylor will be teaching in the genres of tap and musical theatre. She has been a great fit for our team already, and we are so excited to see how our students grow with her! 🤩

Taylor is 25 years old and from a small town in Pennsylvania. She has been dancing since she was a year and a half old, studying both recreationally and competitively. She studied in the genres of Tap, Acro/Gymnastics, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Pointe, Contortion, Musical Theatre, and Bollywood. While training in dance, she was a student teacher in her training studio and involved in several other sports and musicals. She has been in 9 musical productions and has choreographed for four. Taylor is thrilled to be bringing her passion and knowledge to Studio 33 and hopes to make an impact on every student.

🪩MEET MISS LEXI🪩

Our last apprentice to introduce to you all is Lexi! Lexi is starting her second year at Studio 33 and will be apprenticing for both hippity hop and junior ballet. Lexi has been putting in the work at the studio all summer long - we’re so impressed by her dedication! 💙

“Hello, my name is Miss Lexi! Outside of dance, I participate in BUHS Choir, Sound Waves honor choir, theatre, and cheerleading, which have all helped me grow as a performer! I’m so excited and grateful for the opportunity to apprentice this year! I love dance because it gives me a way to express myself and tell stories through movement! I also love the friendships, memories, and confidence that come from dancing. I’m so excited to start the new dance season!”

We can’t wait to see how Lexi inspires our younger dancers! 🩰

🪩MEET MISS HARPER🪩

Harper is a new apprentice with us this year! She is starting her second year at Studio 33 and will be apprenticing for teeny ballet/tap combo and petite/junior tap. Harper has an advanced sense of musicianship and theatricality that we know will make her the perfect apprentice for our tap classes! 💙

“Hi, I’m Miss Harper! This will be my second year with Studio 33 and I am extremely excited to be apprenticing. Especially because I have learned and improved so much within my first year at the studio and I want to help others learn and improve as much as I did if not more. I actually started at Studio 33 because my friends invited me to go to “bring a friend to dance day” and it has become a tradition that I look forward to every year. Along with my time at the studio, I participate/have participated in the B-UHS choir, Soundwaves, the B-UHS theatre club, Buckhannon Community Theatre, Youth and Leadership Association, and Governor’s School for the Arts, so it is safe to say I have a very strong love for all art forms and dance is no exception! I am very excited for another year at Studio 33 and to help others feel more confident in their dance abilities and themselves in general.”

Harper is a great example of how hard work and dedication can take you far! 🤩

🪩MEET MISS INDIGO🪩

Introducing Indigo! Indigo is starting her second year at Studio 33 and will be apprenticing for teeny ballet/tap combo, hippity hop, and mini ballet/jazz combo. She is also a new member of our competition team! Indigo shows a real passion for storytelling and dance that we know will inspire our younger dancers. 💙

“Hi! I'm Miss Indigo (though formally you might hear Olivia). I'm 14 and a freshman at B-UHS. I love to dance because it's way for me to really express myself through movement and do fun tricks! Outside of dance, I've been singing for 6 years now in different choirs, as well as acting for the B-UMS theatre program and Buckhannon Community Theatre!"

We can’t wait to see how Indigo grows this year! ✨
