How valuable are our volunteers⁉️

Pretty valuable, if you ask us. 🤝

Our 22-member board of directors clocked an incredible 1️⃣4️⃣9️⃣6️⃣ hours during our 9️⃣ day event. 💪

These hours are not only fueled with blood, sweat and tears, but they’re completely FREE! 🆓

According to Bureau of Labor Statistics and the National value of a volunteer, our volunteers save the community over $5️⃣0️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣.

Keep in mind, these hours don’t include hundreds of additional hours spent planning, fundraising, recruiting, and other necessary activities. 😮

Join us in giving our volunteers a hand for what they do! 👏

We had hundreds of submissions, and now it’s time for Buckhannon to begin its transition to a 🐯

The king of the jungle is officially declared as the STRAWBERRY. 🍓

Thank you for so many wonderful submissions, which made this year very hard to choose 1. 👏

West Virginia is home to some of the best traditions in the country, and the State Fair of West Virginia is at the top of the list! 🎡

While we’re busy dreaming up next year's unforgettable memories, we encourage our festival family to head to Lewisburg to support another incredible WV staple. 🎉

While you’re there, be sure to catch Miss West Virginia Association of Fairs & Festivals (and 83rd Queen) Kourtney, who is reigning over all 🔟 days of the Fair! 🍓

Pack up the family, grab a cinnamon roll (or 20), and make some memories! 🥮

Tradition, spirit, and class are always the highlight of this program. We’ve been honored by their partnership for years now, and appreciate the love shown. 🍓

We want to give a HUGE shoutout to Gambill Amusements! 🎟️

When disaster struck, they immediately reached out asking how they could help. 🙏

Since then, we’ve received 3 large shipments of much-needed supplies to assist with the recovery from recent flooding in our area. 🍓

A tremendous THANK YOU to one of our longest standing and strongest supporters! 🎡

It’s one of the most EXCITING times of the year for YOU 🫵

We care about ya, so we try to involve you as much as possible in the planning of our events. One of the ways we do that every year is by accepting THEME SUGGESTIONS and selecting our favorite. 🎉

Suggestions should be short and concise, and easily depicted for our events and those who support us. In the event that we get duplicate submissions, the winner will be the first, so get them in quick! ⌨️

Last year, we received HUNDREDS of great ideas. This year, we would love to see THOUSANDS. So be sure to share this with your most creative friends! 🎨

Join our agriculture partners! 🍓

🐄 2026 Upshur County Youth Livestock Show & Sale 🐖

Join us as we celebrate the hard work and dedication of our local 4-H and FFA youth! Come watch the livestock shows, cheer on our exhibitors, and support the next generation of agriculture.

📅 July 30 – August 1, 2026
📍 UCYLA Livestock Barn (behind Buckhannon-Upshur High School)

Parking: Visitors may need to park near the stadium and walk down by the pool to the livestock barn.

Don't miss the Youth Livestock Sale on Saturday, August 1 at 6:30 p.m. It's a great opportunity to support our youth and local agriculture!
