LEGO Artists Roll Call!!! We're excited to be hosting several world-class Professional and Master LEGO builders at a new event the weekend of September 25 & 26 (10 AM - 6 PM) at The Bridge Sports Complex in Bridgeport, WV.

Lia Chan, of Baton Rouge, will be one of our featured LEGO builders focusing on a wide variety of NASA builds, including her Artemis II shuttle, a huge scale model of the International Space Station, other historic shuttles, most signed by a member of the astronaut team of that mission. Lia appeared at our recent BBQ Bash with only a few of her amazing displays due to space limitations, but she'll be showcasing her entire collection at the September event - you don't want to miss these unique creations.

Born in Texas, Lia began her LEGO building at 5 yrs. old with her first set, but became seriously involved in 2010 after joining a LEGO group in Dallas. She's been building professionally for 6+ years, with her amazing creations currently touring the US with Brick Universe expos.

Lia loves to interact with the public, especially young people, about NASA's space program and the details of her custom builds. Be sure to come check out her displays, and maybe catch a launch of her Artemis II shuttle.

Several other LEGO artists will also be participating, including former and future contestants from the hit tv show, LEGO Masters. There will also be several LEGO vendors with rare and hard to find LEGO kits, bricks, 3D printed accessories, as well as a Mini Fig Station to create your own custom Mini Fig.

Admission is $10 per day (kids 5 & under are free) with lots of FREE fun including several LEGO Build & Play areas, a LEGO themed Putt Putt Course, Co****le and Connect 4 games, Sand Art (make and take projects), and a fun Scavenger Hunt with 50 prizes for each flying pig found.

A professional face painter, with some fun LEGO designs, and an extreme balloon artists will also be on hand to add to the fun.

We're also partnering with the WV Youth Aviation Expo (FREE) at the same time & place featuring drone flights, rocket builds and launches, guest speakers, and lots more.

This new event is hosted by the Almost Heaven BBQ Bash as a fundraiser for the 2027 BBQ Bash and LEGO Bash events.

ANNOUNCEMENT: We're excited to host a NEW LEGO event the last weekend in September at the Bridge Sports Complex in Bridgeport, WV. Currently have several vendors with rare and hard to find kits and pieces and at least 5 professional LEGO artists/builders (some who've appeared on the hit tv show, LEGO Masters) who'll be displaying some of their amazing creations. There's also a LEGO Building Contest - details on our new website (should be up in a day or so) so you can begin building your custom creation now.

In addition, we'll have an extreme balloon artist, fun face painter, and several FREE activities including a LEGO themed Putt Putt Course, Co****le games, our "When Pigs Hide" scavenger hunt with prizes for each of the 50 flying pigs hidden at the Bridge, LEGO build and play areas, Connect 4 games, and more.

Admission is only $10.00 for adults (kids 5 and under are FREE), and funds raised will provide start up funds for next year's BBQ Bash as well as a 2nd LEGO Bash.

We're excited to partner with the Carl Hopkins WV Youth Aviation Expo the same weekend with seminars, drone flights, rocket launches, and special guests ... all FREE ... in and outside the Bridge Sports Complex.

NOTE: You're familiar with the BBQ Bash for the past 11 years, and our new event is a LEGO Bash -- NOT to be confused with a trademarked Brick Bash in Michigan that we initially named our new event before discovering that name was trademarked. We certainly do NOT want to infringe on that event, so please disregard any early information that might mention a Brick Bash - ours is the Almost Heaven LEGO Bash).

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!! Can you give a few hours of your time to help feed those impacted by this awful flood last week. The need in many areas still continues as some are still without power, many lost everything and have no means to prepare meals, but Operation BBQ Relief is here to help. If you can find a few hours to help others in our community, please register at OBR.org or come to the Buckhannon WalMart parking lot. Your help would be greatly appreciated!
