RSVP Now! May 8, 1 – 4 pm, auditions for Festival Footlights Theater’s Summertime Staged Reading. Open to all SCF residents (55+ side). Men and women of all acting experience levels, including those with no prior stage experience, are encouraged to audition. If cast, those who are not existing members of the Footlights Theater club will need to join the club.

A staged reading is a form of theater without sets or full costumes. Actors read from scripts with minimal movement about the stage. No line memorization! Rehearsals begin May 13 and will be held on Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays 1-4 pm. Performance dates are June 17 and 19 in the Sage Center Mulberry Room.

Open auditions May 8 from 1 – 4 pm in Sage Center Mulberry Room for all upcoming roles in Festival Footlights Theater’s Summertime Staged Reading. A staged reading is a form of theater without sets or full costumes. Actors read from scripts with minimal movement about the stage. No line memorization!

Auditions are open to all SCF residents (55+ side). Men and women of all acting experience levels are encouraged to audition including those with no prior stage experience. Whether you are cast in a role or not, auditions are conducted in a supportive environment, and you’ll enjoy the experience! If cast, those who are not existing members of the Footlights Theater club will need to join the club.

Thank you to all who attended, and to all responsible for bringing to the stage, Footlights Theater’s presentation of “Suite Surrender,” by Michael McKeever. All three shows were well-attended with enthusiastic, appreciative audience members. The entire cast, crew and theater club membership truly appreciates the support of our Sun City Festival Community members.

Please join us in reflecting on a fantastic SCF Footlights Theater 2025 – 2026 season and in looking forward to coming theater club activities this Summer and in the Fall. The stage is set beautifully, and today’s Dress Rehearsal was fantastic and full of laughs!. You don’t want to miss this show, but you will unless you GET YOUR TICKETS TOUT DE SUITE!

March 15, 16, and 17: Footlights Theater presents “Suite Surrender,” a fast-paced farce by Michael McKeever set in 1942 at the Palm Beach Royale Hotel. Chaos and comedy erupt when two rival Hollywood divas are accidentally booked into the same suite while in town for a wartime benefit.

Showtimes are Sunday, March 15 at 2 pm along with Monday March 16 & Tuesday, March 17, both at 6pm.

Please note there will be no intermission for this show which has an approximate runtime of 90 minutes.

Assigned seating is offered at $20 (Front Rows) and $15 and can be purchased using the AAM App or the AAM web portal. You can also purchase tickets by calling Member Services for assistance: (928) 252-2100 ext. 6, or by visiting one of the Member Services desks.
