Festival Footlights Theater will hold Open Auditions August 12th and 14th from 1 to 4 pm in the Sage Center Mulberry Room. You need only attend one of the two dates to audition.

There are eleven roles to be cast in “The Curious Savage” by John Patrick – a comedy (with dramatic undertones) to be presented on the Saguaro Center Stage November 19 – 21, 2026. Please keep the audition and show dates in mind to avoid conflicts as you make your Summer/Fall plans. The play features a kind widow who inherits a great fortune, three greedy stepchildren, several societal misfits living in an upscale sanitorium, and one very special stuffed teddy bear.

Auditions are open to all SCF residents (55+ side). Men and women of all acting experience levels are encouraged to audition including those with no prior stage experience. If cast, those who are not existing members of the Footlights Theater club will need to join the club.

Auditions are conducted in a supportive environment, and you’ll have fun. Now is the time to realize your acting aspirations – or at least give it your best shot!

RSVP Now! May 8, 1 – 4 pm, auditions for Festival Footlights Theater’s Summertime Staged Reading. Open to all SCF residents (55+ side). Rehearsals begin May 13 and will be held on Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays 1-4 pm. Performance dates are June 17 and 19 in the Sage Center Mulberry Room.

Open auditions May 8 from 1 – 4 pm in Sage Center Mulberry Room for all upcoming roles in Festival Footlights Theater’s Summertime Staged Reading. A staged reading is a form of theater without sets or full costumes. Actors read from scripts with minimal movement about the stage. No line memorization!

Auditions are open to all SCF residents (55+ side). Men and women of all acting experience levels are encouraged to audition including those with no prior stage experience. Whether you are cast in a role or not, auditions are conducted in a supportive environment, and you’ll enjoy the experience! If cast, those who are not existing members of the Footlights Theater club will need to join the club.
