From the day I was born, my life has been influenced by art. I’ve been exposed to painting, drawing, and mixed media from the day I could hold a pencil in my hand. I’ve been to Europe and seen the great masterpieces up close and personal. For me, art helps correlate values, ideas and shows what the imagination is capable of while bringing meaning and purpose to humanity. Art is the biggest part of me and I love it. This piece is a composite of so many famous ideas and art works, from Picasso to Magritte, I’ve fused the greats. Leonardo de Vinci, Andy Warhol, Klimt and Munch are alive and well as are various styles from impressionism to surrealism. The technique for my ladies hair was new and experimental. I’ve recycled pages from “Art in Time” accessing over 70 images and sewn them together with gilded thread. The periods covered are from Pre Christian to modern times and cover almost every country in the world.
