The show gets good.

The plot takes a turn I didn’t see coming.

And suddenly it’s way later than I intended.

But honestly? These quiet late-night hours are sometimes the only time I get that’s completely mine. No school drop-offs, no errands, no snack requests, just me, a craft project on my desk, and a show that has me saying, “Just one more episode.”

Future me will definitely complain when the alarm goes off tomorrow morning.

Well, I sat down with a cake topper that needed assembling and found a new show that immediately pulled me in. The kind with so many twists and turns that I completely forget I’m supposed to be talking to my camera.

So instead of commentary, you get something even more real.

Just my hands doing what they’ve learned to do after years of cardstock, glue, foam stickers, and layers after layers. No script. No explaining. Just muscle memory and a little bit of creativity at work.

Sometimes my version of relaxing isn’t a bubble bath or a girls’ night out. It’s getting lost in a good show while bringing a custom order to life one layer at a time.

Here’s what today looked like.

I clocked in as a school secretary this morning and clocked out… just to clock back in again.

First, it was dinner.
Then snacks for the girls.
A load of laundry.
A few “Mom, can you help me?” moments.

And somewhere between, I found my way back to my craft table.

Today’s project?
A magical unicorn cake topper that needed a glitter mix. ✨
