On our 50th anniversary year, the refuge has received funding through the Great American Outdoors Act to repair several existing buildings and to construct a new visitor center and headquarters building!

We're pretty excited but we also need your help. A draft Environmental Assessment is now available for public review, and comments will be accepted through the month of May. Details on how to review the document and provide comments are available at https://www.fws.gov/story/2022-04/attwater-prairie-chicken-national-wildlife-refuge-proposes-undertake-infrastructure

Another wonderful day at the Eagle Lake Farmers & Community Market! Today’s “Easter Excursion” was awesome, lots of fun activities for the kiddos - and the Easter Bunny came by for a visit! Miles loved meeting him 🐇💖 We hope y’all have a beautiful Easter weekend!
P.S.- The adorable baby chick is rocks are painted by my awesome Aunt Carolyn - aren’t they the cutest? 😍
