Hey friends
This has been a long time coming, but here's the straight answer in a public post and a silly picture of my family.
We are working through an ownership transfer at The 101. This un-air-conditioned gayrage has been a wonderful fun place for all of us weirdos, alt kids, music nerds, pretending artist types, qu**rs, and just the general blue in the face in a red state peoples.
There's something about the Bryan, TX alt scene that just hits different. I've been living here on and off since 2006 and just keep coming back. I have so many silly band shirts and tapes and CDs (some that I was invited to help package or create) that have created the soundtrack to my adult life. Over the past twenty years in town I've made and forgotten more than my fair share of memories. The past six years at the bar have been a whirlwind. We still got a couple months to do more good and forget the bad.
We have a bunch of cool s**t booked through the end of November, (and a couple of spots still open/in flux) but I also want to host a real f**ken cool local bash on 12/4 and 12/5. Message me to get involved in my final weekend.
My last day will be 12/5/2026 before the bar moves onto its next step.
