We received word from the family that Gladys "Glady" HIll passed away early yesterday morning. I had received a call from Glady a couple months ago checking in and to give some updates on her health. She had been in our thoughts.

She was a force behind Prairie Field Association for many years; she kept those of us on the Board on our toes, but I knew her advocacy was always to maintain the special place her Father, Eino Hill, had built.

Rest in Peace Glady

As Pumpkin 1.0 finishes as the last pumpkin I will be able to attend due to schedule conflict. I appreciated every single person that took their time to say hi to me, thank me and say such kind words. Was just as great to see players, spectators and friends I haven’t seen in many years coming out to play in one of the last tournaments held at prairie, ran by Prairie Field Association. On that note!

Kaylee Hammack and Casey Spalding are a bunch of punks. Who signs up a team and then No shows? When told you have a team signed up and just 🤷‍♀️ I have to work. Let’s just hope others don’t do what you did to us, run up a $300 bill and walk out. What’s worse is you’re LOCAL! Learn better communication skills or check in the mirror and become better humans! Not OK!

HEFF! 🎤

A couple quick items for the Association.

First, I know many of you are upset with the fate of Prairie Field Association. And, we are not saying any of you would do this, but please do not allow any anger or frustration allow damage or vandalism to the property. We still have plenty of bills, including State and Federal taxes, to take care of before the Association is shuttered. We do not have money in the bank to pay all of our bills and a damage bill or fine from the County. Again, we are not saying any of you would do this, but just in case.

Second, following Great Pumpkin 2.0, we will have a couple weeks to liquidate/sell all of our physical assets. This includes the mower, quad, all the tools, a couple tool boxes,....you name it.....we have a nice computer monitor in the office....really, a lot of stuff.

Whatever proceeds we do have when we finish with the IRS and State of Washington, we will be donating to the non-profit supported in prior years by the proceeds from the LCP tournament. We are estimating not really having all the paperwork finished until April or May of 2025.

I don't post a lot, but I have been involved with the Association since 1999 and began playing at Prairie in 1992, when I was 20. This is as painful to watch to me as many of you out there.
