Putting in a little plug for my Broadway Bound Classes. 🤩🫶🥰

4-4:45 Broadway Bound 1 (2nd and 3rd grade)
Tuesday
5:15-6 Broadway Bound 2/3 (4th - 12th grade)

These classes are for students who are interested in singing, acting, and dancing. No previous experience is necessary. We have so many great opportunities for students to perform in this community, like Encore, The Island Players, and The Penguin Project. This class is a great way to help them learn and improve on the skills they need in order to do great and have fun on stage!

Here are a couple of pics from last season. Our 2nd/3rd grade class did our little version of The Princess and the Pea, and our 4th-12th grade class did Little Red Riding Hood. We had the best time and learned a lot!!

Are you an adult who is looking for a fun activity that gets your body moving and keeps your mind sharp? We have adult tap and ballet classes that are so much fun, and NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY! These are non-performing classes. We just get together to learn, dance and have a great time.

A few benefits of dance for adults:
-Stronger bones and core: Weight-bearing moves build bone density and engage deep core muscles for better posture.
-Sharper memory: Memorizing new routines and choreographies challenges the brain and builds new neural pathways.

-Learning short combinations and routines helps develop memory, concentration, and sequencing skills.
-Dancing together teaches children how to work as part of a group, take turns, and respect others.
-Learning a new dance step takes practice. Dance teaches children that making mistakes is part of learning and that improvement comes with practice.

If you have a two, three, or four year old in your family, SSPAC is the place to be! Dance has multiple benefits for young children, and we've gotten to watch hundreds of students grow and mature over the years!

Just a few benefits of dance for preschoolers:
-Dance encourages children to express themselves through movement while building confidence in a fun, supportive environment.
-Following music, instructions, and teacher cues helps children develop listening and attention skills.
-Jumping, marching, skipping, turning, and traveling movements help strengthen gross motor skills.
