New England Regional Theater Company It's first production, Disney's High School Musical 1: On Stage!, came off as a huge success at the Freeport Performing Arts Center in Freeport, Maine.

New England Regional Theater Company (NERTC) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization serving the Midcoast area in musical theater education and performance for children and adults. New England Regional Theater Company (NERTC) was established in the Spring of 2007, then known as New England Youth Theater, with the primary purpose of promoting the theater arts experience in the lives of youth of Midcoas

To achieve its vision, NERTC has focused on youth theater education, an annual performance schedule open to the public, and collaboration with professionals, students, adults, and community members. Since then NERTC has had the priviledge of performing the Maine Premiere's of Disney's High School Musical 2: On Stage! and 13: A New Musical. NERTC continues to push the bar on live theater. Hiring its first Executive and Artistic Directors in 2011 the Theater is taking steps to strengthen its administrative and financial base. With stronger management and a commited Board, NERTC is focusing on increasing the professional quality of its performances. The theater is taking strives to offer more educational programming. Today, NERTC places equal importance on the production of pressional theater and the offering of educational initiatives, making it unique among national theater.
