Low Tide Blessings

Low Tide Blessings Welcome to my shell carving corner—where simple shells turn into something meaningful.

A hobby turned passion, each piece is one of a kind and a quiet way I share my faith. “We are the clay, You are our potter.” Isaiah 64:8 Be blessed.

I honestly don’t know how to thank all of you.

Every single person who took the time to comment made this giveaway so much more than just giving away a shell. Reading what each of you saw in it was a blessing to me. There wasn’t a wrong answer, and I wish I had one to send to everyone.

Congratulations to Angie Hallman! 🎉 You are the winner of the David style shell.

To everyone else…thank you. Thank you for sharing your hearts, your words, and for being part of this little community. I read every comment, and they meant more to me than you probably realize.

We’ll do another giveaway soon.

Thanks so much Ms Beverly for sharing your Low Tide Blessings. Love this! Have a great weekend.

Shell name: “Morning Watch.”

The shepherd woke to a quiet dawn, his flock gathered safely within the shelter of the cave. As he watched over those entrusted to him, he rested in the quiet assurance that the Great Shepherd was watching over him.

Some peace isn’t found… it’s remembered.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want… Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”
— Psalm:1, 4

When I first started carving shells, my wife was the only one besides immediate family to see them.

I remember how excited I’d be to leave one or two in the window sill and wait for her to text me later to let me know what she thought. lol.

Well I revisited that memory today with some smaller window sill size shells combined with a few of my older designs. And a turtle.

I’d almost forgotten how special the little shells can be. Hey! Little blessings are great as well right????

Happy Thursday friends.

Always grateful.

Good morning, friends.

It seems these days we have a national day for just about everything.

National Dog Day.
Cat Day.
Son Day.
Daughter Day.
Hot Dog Day.
Game Day.
You name it, we’ve probably celebrated it.

And honestly, I think celebrating is a good thing.

But I’d like to propose a new one…

“Help a New Friend Day.”

The goal isn’t recognition. It’s not, “Look what I did.”

It’s simply sharing ideas that encourage us to love others with agape love—the kind of love that gives without expecting anything in return.

I’ll go first.

After I finish work today, I plan to mow my front yard. And while I’m at it, I’m going to mow my neighbor’s yard too.

Nothing big.
Nothing heroic.
Just one small act of kindness.

I’d love for you to join me.

Do something for someone today—especially someone who may never be able to repay you. Then come back and share your idea in the comments. Not for applause, but to inspire others to keep the blessing going.

Who knows?

Maybe one small act of kindness could start a ripple we never get to see.

Happy “Help a New Friend Day.”

Let’s celebrate by serving.
And please share this with someone you know that would love to participate. They are welcome here.

P.S.
Had to post an older picture of gran for this post. She always said when you pull up in your drive and see paper bags filled with veggies from someone’s garden in front of your door step, that is very special. And Godly….The fact someone worked, most likely sweat, and still thought about her always warmed her heart.

It just took me many years to fully understand that.

When I start feeling too wrapped up in myself, my things, my family, my me, me, me…

I’ve learned the best way to get out of my own head is to give.

So I’m giving away a shell like the one in the photo.
Not the exact one pictured — I’ll be making it soon.)

And will also get a LTB tee shirt to match.

Rules:
• Caption what the shell says to you or your maybe your feelings if you walked up and found it….
• Share this post with someone (not mandatory, but always appreciated)

That’s it. Just a small reminder that sometimes peace shows up when we stop focusing on ourselves and start giving something away.

I’m already feeling better.
So grateful for every one of you for being a part of Low Tide.

Will announce the winner Friday.
