Although we have always celebrated our anniversary on Sawmill Festival weekend, we opened Artifacts unofficially Memorial Day weekend of 2005. We have come into contact with amazing people, sold some beautiful things, and been made part of many homes and celebrations since then. We are honored and appreciate the opportunity to be a part of your lives.
Being there together - Brett, Melissa, Isabel, Duke, Lucky, Mike & me (and before they became too ill, my parents Betty & Delane) -- has allowed us family togetherness that I treasure and would not change for anything.
When we shut the doors beginning last March because of the coronavirus pandemic last year, I found a family togetherness in our isolation that I treasure even more. Homeschooling Isabel, regular meals with Brett & Melissa, sitting on the porch -- things I would likely not have spent 2020 doing otherwise.
Turns out, starting back up turned out to be something we didn’t want. We tried curbside pickup, we tried reduced days and hours, but we have become selfish with our time and want it all for ourselves.
So, Saturday, May 22 will be our last official open day. We will still be doing occasional auctions from my page, live videos, Facebook Marketplace, etc. We will set curbside pickup times and we might open now and then for yard sales/etc as we close out inventory.
Once a junker, always a junker -- we have it in our blood -- but we’ll find other ways to do it. Y’all get ready for some bargains -- or if you’re ready to walk in and buy us out, we’re good with that too! Thanks to all who have remained our friends and supporters throughout the years.
Final regular hours as follow:
Thursday - Friday 10 - 5 and Saturday 10-4
May 6-8
May 13 - 15
May 20 - 22
