Friends of Family Farmers promote and protect responsible family farming and rural communities -- like Brownsville. Reserve your place at the July 21st Munch Night table to hear Alice Morrison tell us how we can be involved, what's going on in the legislature and the great need to help nurture family farmers. For your pleasure Calapooia Food Alliance Board Members will be creating a sumptuous DIY Taco bar (that's us -- nourishing the body as well as the mind). Friends of Family Farmers, headquartered in Junction City since 2005, brings farmers and ranchers together with consumers to address issues we all face. F of FF helps eager young farmers without land purchase land from retiring farmers. F of FF helps bring practical solutions to issues impeding family farmers from selling direct to consumers. Perhaps most important F of FF keeps tabs on the influence that corporate agribusiness entities have in Oregon. They also watch over the work of state and federal agencies charged with regulating agricultural activities. You won't want to miss all that co-chair Alice Morrison has to tell us. Reserve with Joshua at [email protected] for the Friday 7 PM Munch Night at the Bramble House. Be sure to bring your own place setting as well as beverage and $15 (donations fund additional CFA projects such as the Thursday Market and the Community Garden). Seating will be outside.
