Tonight was a great success and it’s all because of you wonderful people and all of the things you do to not only support myself but other artists in our community (Zachary Slone). Thank you all so very much from the very depth of my heart, this is the reason I do everything I do. Being able to support others in our community is incredibly important to me and I am eternally grateful for the fervent support we receive from all of you.

This is the harsh reality of what our nations mental health crisis has presented us with. June is men's mental health awareness month, men fall victim to their illness at 80% of the total statistical rate of su***de in America. Society tells men to suffer in silence is to be a man and to shoulder the burdens without seeking help is to be strong and that cannot be further from the truth. Men seek help at disproportionate rates to women, only 17% of men receive mental health services, men's participation rates in taking medication for mental illness is between 10.7%- 11.5% and a staggeringly low 7.2%-7.9% of men participate in counseling or therapy. You are not weak for needing help you are not less of a man for talking about your pain or trauma and you are worthy of finding care and help with these illnesses. You are loved, never give up and find the strength to reach out. If you or anyone you know is suffering please help them find their way to the proper resources and support and you are always welcome here we will be more than happy to help in any way we can.

Our continued partnership with the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention- Indiana Chapter is one of the most important relationships we have and will strive to continue to be a safe place for everyone to come and be who they are, to talk to someone in a time of need or just to belong without judgment. I was blessed to have another opportunity to get pictures a decade apart. This has seriously become on of my absolute favorite things that happens recently. I hope to keep having the opportunity to do these side-by-side pictures with some of my longest standing clients. Thank you so much for hanging on to that original photo for the last ten years!!

All this year we will be making/doing informational posts, videos and lives. These will be an effort to better inform, demystify, educate and to answer some very common questions. We hear so many complaints about the lack of information people get from their experiences within our industry, they get a simple no without explanation or are meet with a lack of knowledge. We aim to help end the lack of information trend. The more you know as a client the better your decisions surrounding body art and its care will be. We will start this series of informative post with the “frog eyes,” piercing. Here is a really old photo from when I was a very green, unskilled, undereducated and excited to do everything anyone asked for body piercer. Keep your eyes peeled for next weeks video about why this piercing is an absolute no go and why anyone that does this is illustrating to you the exact reason you should never be pierced by them, because if you do this piercing it means you don’t know basic anatomy and you need to put the needles down and pick the books up.
