We are Passionate about Pottery
Turning Clay Pottery Studio, owned by two hobby potters, is an open access studio that provides the equipment, tools & space to explore, create and PLAY with CLAY! We tell our customers “all you need to bring is an apron,” but we provide aprons in addition to the clay, electric pottery wheels, slab roller and extruders, hand building tables, glazes, texturizers, and cutters, plus we fire what you make in our kilns!
Hobby potters who want to improve their skills or practice new techniques are our ideal customer. We like self-starters who are familiar with clay techniques and require little supervision in the studio, BUT (having been there ourselves just a few years ago), we love it when people who have never had a pottery class catch the ‘bug’ and become members after having taken our basics class!
Classes meet on Monday nights - four sessions for $120.00, and participants spend two hours extra in the studio each week to practice what they have learned.
While our emphasis is on individual work in the studio, we offer ‘workshops’ - one or two time visits to complete a project, conducted by one of us.
